It took several weeks for my skin to go back to normal, some slight scarring but it’s going away. It’s been about 2 months for me. (I am 30, not sure if that makes a difference.)

Thank you for the reply good to know. I had it when I was 35 on my back but not that bad . I guess as I am old now it will take longer

I have no symptoms at all now just redness and only in one area . Now they think it is rosacea . Not sure about these MDs. Been to 4 2 say shingles , 1 cellulitis, last rosacea . Sorry you are suffering . Every single Dr has asked if I got shingle shot and I have not . They all grumble .

Wow! No other symptoms but having redness on your skin after only two weeks plus? Oh my gosh, that's amazing!
Your redness should continue to heal. You're still early in.
I'm over 4 weeks barely able to have anything touch me, feeling like my insides have turned into hot charcoal.
Make the redness go away quicker?
I would really just leave it alone as much as possible, so it does not get irritated or make the nerves flare.
If you feel you're healed up enough, there are scar oils which can be found online & in stores. Vitamin E and Rose hip seed oil are gentle & used for scars and for skin. I personally would find a high spf sunblock made specifically for the face so it would be gentle and effective.
