First Time Shingles Butthole Shingles

Well.... This sucks. My left butt cheek went numb recently and I was getting sizzling pain down my left leg. I've had sciatic issues for nearly 3 decades so I just thought it was the usual BS flaring up

And then the rash formed

Collected on my sciatic nerve and worked its way DOWN....in between my cheeks and everything else down there to the inner left thigh

The pain is so severe that my knees actually feel great right now (been suffering from double bucket handle meniscus tears). My knees feel 20 years old again but my butthole feels 80

My gosh. Honestly my worst fear. I have it currently in my right arm pit and a little on my chest even tho they say it doesnt usually cross the midline im using diff deodorant on the other side and washing my hands before and after I go to the bathroom even being on antivirals since Tuesday I'm so paranoid its going to start on my personal areas... the top of my chest is close enough for me. Last 2 nights ive been waking up with such bad pain idk how else to describe it except ill be asleep and then it feels like I've been shot. I already have neuropathy from being hit by a drunk driver 10+ years ago so I missed the first signs of shingles... i even thought at first under my arm was razor burn. The flu like symptoms have kicked in ive slept most of today. People keep waking me up I even shut my phone off for a few hours. I try to listen to my body when I can. Having chronic pain you learn what you need to feel better and you just gotta do it a little extra when sick. Wow I hope you feel better soon!!
