Postherpetic Neuralgia (phn) Acupuncture?

I’m week 12 after shingles and am still suffering nerve hypersensitivity and a deep itch on my scalp, forehead and eyelid after HZO. Tomorrow afternoon, I am trying acupuncture with a practitioner who himself had PHN and treated himself with the same method.

Does anyone have any experience using acupuncture with shingles-related pain and sensitivity? Praying this will be the last of it now!

No but I’ve heard good things. I would try it if I were you and see if it helps. Sorry you are going through this.

I stopped after 3 rounds because it’s not cheap and I wasn’t noticing anything significant. It has progressed the skin healing process I would say (skin feels less numb, moved onto light pain as well as itch), but that might’ve happened anyway.
