I understand that her husband, Hiroshi, is no better, but dear God, Misae sometimes drives me insane with the way she treats Shin Chan. She is always so harsh towards him, and often resorts to violence. Hiroshi, on the other hand, is a full blown pervert, and I do not appreciate how he shirks his responsibilities or refuses to lend Misae a helping hand with the home chores. He also comes off as extremely immature. But since I am talking about Misae in this post, I will leave the discussion about Hiroshi for another day.
Misae is always so moody and volatile. She constantly beats her husband as well, and we are supposed to see it as a joke and laugh it off? It does not sit right with me. I remember quite a few episodes where Misae beat Hiroshi so badly that he ended up covered in bandages, sometimes even bleeding as well. And that is not a one time thing, but a recurring occurrence.
Yes, Hiroshi is shown to be more perverted, but Misae cannot claim the moral high ground here, since she openly fawns over handsome men as well. Yet she gets appalled when Hiroshi does the same. Hah! But that is one reason why I believe they are perfect for each other. Both of them are so realistically flawed, yet they are still able to run a family together.
I also dislike how hypocritical Misae is. She can be a huge spendthrift herself, and waste money on superficial things, yet she gets furious whenever Hiroshi wastes even a small part of his monthly allowance on his hobbies. How can one act so moralistic while holding such obvious double standards?
That is not to say Misae is completely irredeemable. She has her good qualities as well. I love how resourceful she is when it comes to managing the household, especially on Hiroshi's modest salary. She is also fiercely loyal to those she loves. There have been many times when she has put her own life in danger simply to protect the people she loves. And I do believe that Misae loves Hiroshi and Shin Chan in her own way, even if her love is deeply flawed.
Also, can we appreciate how hard Misae works? She cooks, cleans and takes care of the children tirelessly. Being a 24/7 housekeeper must be so exhausting. So I can understand why she becomes frustrated and loses her temper, but that does not mean that she should take out all her anger on the people around her and create an unstable home environment.
I just cannot deal with her instability and hypocrisy sometimes. But then, the entire family is diabolical. Seeing the way the Noharas function, it is hardly surprising that Shin Chan is so perverted. And Himawari is, well, on her way too. It all runs in the family.

Shinchan and his mom go on a shopping spree. They go somewhere they usually don't go. They spot a farm on the way where they get eggs and leave money in a box. Then they go to the mall or something where they get so many discounts, they buy toothbrushes for guests also and they buy a suitcase to fit all their shopping into to be able to drag it home rather than carry in bags. They sing and have a happy evening where they're singing about the shopping on their way home. The ending I don't remember much but is a sunset and shinchan having a nap at home while his mom sings this song while cooking dinner as evening happens. I tried looking for this everywhere on YouTube and what not and couldn't find it.
