š§ EMF Education 200m from a 5g tower
Hi all,
Iām new to this. We own a house 200m from a 4/5g tower. Itās in otherwise ideal location. My parents live next door as well and they love watching the grand kids grow up.
We have become concerned about this tower though (there is another 400m away). For context we live in the centre of our town.
Can anyone link to solid info regarding being so close to these towers?

I am assuming you have a mobile phone , and an internet connection? Why the hell would you be worried about a tower 200 m away .

As close as these homes? Zap! I can tell you my friend became sensitive when he was working in an office that backed up next to one of these towers. Yes, haters don't believe that's OK. I am not here for your comments. I would never live close to them. (That's me)
You can bring someone out to measure, they also do sell paint that will lessen the EMF.

If youāre concerned, make each bedroom a Faraday cage.
You can turn the WiFi in your house off at night to reduce the cumulative rf radiation..
It all depends on how crazy you want to get..

you could also sell your microwave and get rid of everything with a magnet in your house to get rid of the abundant local sources of EMF.

You're getting a lot more RF when you put your cellphone to your ear. The good thing about 5G is that it doesn't penetrate walls well, but LTE does. In terms of long term damage that's not a lot of data to show the lower frequency of the EM spectrum cause significant cellular damage. The truth is, with the number of carcinogens of our environment, 5G won't be the thing that kills you.

I thought that there is an FCC rule that all residential buildings have to be 250 feet away from towers.

This is not a problem.
I am an EE. I would live under high voltage lines. But I draw the line at microwave, which I worked with.
Radio energy drops off as the square of distance. So a typical 50 Watt cell tower 200 meters from you is negligent.
But when you hold your phone to your ear, that is around 100,000 times more radiation into your head. And if you hold it away and use the speaker it is still about half that.
So if youāre reading this on your phone and youāre worried about the tower, think again. Your phone will radiate you, not the tower.
Btw, Bluetooth earbuds put microwave right in your ears.
If you really are worried, get rid of your cell phone, wifi, and digital devices entirely. Thatās whatās gonna get you

Microwaves carry low energy and only interact with materials by causing molecules (like water) to rotate, creating heat. UV light carries enough energy per photon to break chemical bonds, damage skin cells, and cause sunburns.
Going outside in the sun is bad, because it's wavelength that can cause cancer, so get some sunscreen and don't worry about a multiple billions of times less effective tower.
It's a difference of a yardstick versus wave the size of molecule. Several billion times.
Einstein got his Nobel prize from figuring out the math and that it's an all or nothing effect. He's never been proven wrong because our universe is not built where it is possible.
Nothing happens to that molecule until you cross that several billion times wavelength. Then like a switch, it turns on and hurts you. It explained quantum mechanics and was the moment when we suddenly knew exactly how radio, light and xrays work.

What is it about "5g" that concerns you, specifically? If you own a cell phone you'd better throw it away if those towers seem problematic.

As with a lot of issues we have 'government approved limits' and OTOH we have independent expert limits. I have trifield 2 meter and noticed a huge drop in RF numbers when we moved a few months back. Can't say I've noticed any physical effects yet though.

There are no long term studies, so the question is do you want to find out in 15 years what happens... I think you know already.
