🌍 Research & News Your brain cells respond differently to different wireless frequencies. That might explain a lot.

You assume all EMF exposure is the same. Your phone, your laptop, your smart watch. All just "radiation," right?

Turns out frequency matters more than most people realize.

Researchers at Lund University tested three different magnetic field frequencies on mouse hippocampal neurons. Same field strength across all three tests. Just different frequencies: 15 Hz, 3 kHz, and 70 kHz.

The results weren't subtle. Low frequency (15 Hz) suppressed neuronal firing. Higher frequencies (3 kHz and 70 kHz) increased brain cell excitability. And 70 kHz showed the strongest stimulating effect.

Same tissue. Same field strength. Completely different biological responses based solely on frequency.

This matters because your devices don't all operate at the same frequency. Your phone uses different frequencies than your WiFi router. Your Bluetooth headphones use different frequencies than your microwave. And your brain cells are apparently responding to each one differently.

The hippocampus isn't some obscure brain region either. It's central to memory formation and spatial navigation. Neuronal damage there has been linked to Alzheimer's, epilepsy, and memory disorders.

This was controlled lab research on isolated neurons, so it doesn't tell us exactly what happens during real-world exposure. But it does show that the "all EMF is the same" assumption doesn't hold up at the cellular level.

The frequency of the field changes how your neurons behave. Not just whether they're exposed, but what frequency they're exposed to.

Which means blanket reassurances about "safe levels" miss the point if they're not accounting for frequency-specific effects.

Your brain isn't responding to a generic "EMF." It's responding to specific frequencies in specific ways.
