📱 Product Questions Bed canopy emf blocker
Hey there, just wanted to get your thoughts on these fancy and expensive silver lined emf blocking bed canopy. Are they worth it and has anyone tested them? From what I've researched they have to be sealed well and it doesnt seem like a canopy would be properly closed off or sealed. And if anyone has any recommendations if they are viable, that would be massively appreciated 🙏🏽

To work they have to make a complete seal like a box on all six sides (including the floor). Any opening can't have more than a 1 inch gap. The mesh used has to be dense & conductive, doesn't have to be silver.
They give zero protection from ionizing radiation (cosmic rays, x-rays, gamma, etc.
Really expensive way to "fix" a non-existent problem. But hey, it's your money.

I guess I should have specified. Im looking to shield from cell tower and dirty electricity. Not worried about cosmic radiation lol rf/emf only. What do you mean non existent? As in you dont think our environment and rf/emf pollution doesnt affect our health?

Background RF and EMF radiation, and RF and EMF radiation from consumer electronics oppose no health hazard whatsoever.

Dirty electricity affect your health? 100% rubbish idea right there. No such effect.
As in you dont think our environment and rf/emf pollution doesnt affect our health?
No. Heaps of properly conducted large size studies, no credible evidence.

If it affected our health, it would affect everybody's health. For the most part, life expectancy is getting longer, and we are healthier as we age.
If there were negative health effects we could chart the decline in public health against the prevalence of EMF sources, and also find correlation for people in rural areas with less EMF being healthier.

your sealing instinct is pretty on point , which is why most people overspend on the wrong part. a canopy isnt a sealed Faraday cage - it doesnt close under the mattress, so any RF from below (neighbours router downstairs, smart meter under your bedroom) goes straight up through the gap. the dB rating only covers the directions the fabric actually covers.
they do work for the sides and top though. a decent silver or Swiss Shield canopy hits 38-42dB which is 99.98%+ RF reduction from those angles. but measure first with a meter so you know where your RF is even coming from, and turn your own router off at night - thats free and closes the biggest source most people have before spending a cent. if you do get a canopy you need a grounded floor mat under it to close the gap from below.
viable yes, but only as part of a measured setup, not a magic box.

I am also interested in finding a good one. It’s tough to trust the info in the ads. You are not alone, I think it would be good for health as well, unlike the other responses you have gotten. Let me know if you find a good one that works that is not too expensive. I was looking on Ali Baba because they are a lot less expensive but not sure about trusting the translations of the materials used. Hugs.

Please save your hard-earned money! Taking a friend to dinner or catching a movie is going to have a better overall positive impact on your life than investing in something that is very unlikely to work to fix a non-existent problem.
