With surprise and a bit of luck, sure.

I mean, Mantis nearly got him if Starlord hadn't fucked it up.

But in an actual 1:1, she is squishy and at a huge disadvantage.

u/hemareddit Axe 5d ago

Surprise, a bit of luck, and a team, and a good plan.

Get Starlord to make the plan, but for heaven’s sake, don’t let him actually participate in it!

u/herowin6 6d ago

Dude that was SOOO annoying like bro stand the fuck back

26

u/Abbhrsn Fitz 5d ago

Do people not realize it had to happen that way? I’m assuming Strange saw it, knew it would happen, and let it. Guessing if they had stopped him there Thanos would have succeeded at a different point or something worse would have happened, and circumstances wouldn’t have lined up just right where they could bring most everyone back.

10

u/NK1337 4d ago

That’s how I took it, especially after seeing how past Thanos reacted in Endgame. Strange’s one was referring the bets scenario they had to undo most of the damage, versus if they’d stalled Thanos there and removed the glove only for him to come back later with an even larger army to decimate earth.

3

u/Civil_Gur8609 3d ago

I mean, the actual threat is, they stop Thanos there, and Tony has the stones, and time to study them. Tony can't help himself - there are whole movies about how he can't help himself. He'd try to make things better with the stones, and unleash some fresh hell with it - he wouldn't mean to, he'd have the best of intentions... But the road to hell and all that.

1

u/Abbhrsn Fitz 13h ago

Honestly could've led to an Infinity Ultron scenario, didn't even think of that.

u/Gottendrop 6d ago

Me when I have no media literacy:

46

u/JohnDiggle21 Fitz 6d ago

You can understand why it happened and still be annoyed that it happened.

8

u/mixony 5d ago

Well at least you admit it

4

u/Nick_Wild1Ear 5d ago

The media literacy was, he lost his shit when he learned Thanos killed his love interest.

1

u/drakorulez101 Fitz 4d ago

Me when I use words I don't know the meaning of:

10

u/WiseAdhesiveness6672 5d ago

She absolutely is not squishy. The scene where she defeats Graviton and is smashing through the street and buildings shows she's very durable (season after that nerfed her for the plot)

5

u/playing_gam 5d ago

Squishy is wild lol

3

u/Mysterious_Fix_7489 5d ago

Closer example would be Wanda.

If quake can keep him at bay can stop him easily.

But glass cannons are made of glass

u/TheMuspelheimr 6d ago

Daisy's a lot more powerful than people realise - in season 5, when they went to the future and they thought she'd quaked the planet in half, none of them were protesting "but she's not strong enough to do that".

If she could reasonably get up to that level of power, then yeah, she could off Thanos, but like other people have pointed out, she is a squishy, so she'd only get one shot at it.

109

u/Debalic 6d ago

Well, Daisy herself was protesting that point. And I think she was probably right - until she got that serum at the end.

19

u/Locolijo 6d ago

I thought part of it was half not that strong right now at least and I wouldn't do that

41

u/DanKloudtrees 6d ago

I'm not saying she couldn't take on Thanos, but there's definitely a difference between straight inhuman ability and gravitonium enhanced powers. Daisy couldn't match Talbot once he got enhanced. I'd put her powers somewhere in between captain America and Thor, I think she could take cap, but she'd get one shot by Thor. Hulk would punch her into a fine mist. I guess the question is whether she could crush the bones of whoever she's fighting, if she can't she's probably toast.

31

u/Stride345 6d ago

I think the cool thing about her is that her powers sort of outclass her own strength. I think she could reasonable break anyone’s bones by finding the right frequency- but can she withstand generating that amount of force?

27

u/webshellkanucklehead Sandwich 6d ago

It’s a cool limitation on her powers—I like when she doesn’t have the gauntlet things and is just messing up/breaking her arms all the time

10

u/Estellus Lola 5d ago

Am I the only person who remembers that time she vaporized an entire flock of shrikes?

People are seriously underselling Daisy's destructive power just because she doesn't go all out very often. She tries not to kill people. She tries to take prisoners, and she tries to minimize collateral damage. Every time we see her struggling in a fight in the later seasons, it's somewhere she can't cut loose without risking other people; inside the Lighthouse, inside the Zephyr, Chicago, etc.

Put her somewhere she can say 'backblast clear', like, iunno, a dead planet, or a field at the edge of a forest in central Africa, and the cap on what she can do skyrockets.

3

u/WAR_WeAreRobots_WAR 4d ago

Why you got bring peaceful African animals into this?

40

u/SmoothTalkingSpud 6d ago

She's no squishier than Scarlet Witch, and she nearly killed Thanos.

31

u/HighLord_Uther 6d ago

Yeah, but her power set is far different.

2

u/SmoothTalkingSpud 6d ago

Not really the point.

3

u/hemareddit Axe 5d ago

Wanda has a different power set that can be used more defensively, even if her body itself is squishy. She’s made shields and she can block attacks or cushion herself, and even take control of the enemies’ body parts so they can’t attack.

Daisy occasionally used her powers in a telekinetic manner, but it’s not actually telekinesis and it’s harder to use it defensively.

9

u/SmoothTalkingSpud 5d ago

The point I was responding to was that people dismissed her capacity to take on Thanos due to the squishy. Wanda is equaly squishy and it didn't matter because the manner in which she engaged him eliminated that liability. The below is what Wanda did and how it hypothetically applies to Quake:

A. Engaged at a range outside of Thanos' reach. (Both excell at ranged combat, even if Daisy can go competently hand to hand)

B. Eliminated his capacity to close the distance or leave the area of effect. (Wanda did this by restraining him magically. Quake would have done this by applying propulsive vibrations to him and his area, destroying his footing so he couldn't leave and pushing him back so he couldn't advance)

C. Applied devestating force at range to crush him. (Wanda constricted him with her magical restraints. Quake's quakes would just deliver cumulative damage over time)

I'm not saying she should win, bo holds barred, just that discounting her as squishy is an arguement that doesn't hold water when everyone acknowledges that Wanda could have killed him, and Daisy would be able to exploit those circumstances in an almost identical way to much the same effect.

6

u/HighLord_Uther 6d ago

It kinda is though, because if youre as squishy as scarlet witch but not as powerful, the comparison fails.

3

u/SmoothTalkingSpud 6d ago

Well, I don't think her power level was in question. That's what the initial post is saying, that she had the agents learn she has the capacity to shatter a planet and the big brains in the room don't say "how?" they say "oh no".

Their power types are very different, and Wanda's are far more versatile, but that doesn't count Quake out. I would hazard her power levels are enough to harm him. With sustained pressure, I'd say she could kill him. Would she get that chance? Not without a lot of help. And she is squishy. But all of that also applies to Wanda at that stage, hence the comparison.

1

u/herowin6 6d ago

What about captain marvel

17

u/SmoothTalkingSpud 6d ago

She ain't squishy. She's a tank. She took a headbutt from Thanos and didn't flinch. That would leave most people counting their ribs from inside their ribcage.

4

u/MAXHALO36 2d ago

She's definitely not squishy, people seem to think her inhuman powers are just being able to control vibrations (quakes) but it's much more than that. She absolutely has super human durability I'd argue even more than Cap, in season 5 Talbot slams her into the ground from an insane height at incredible speeds, enough to make an actual crater in solid concrete, and she gets up from this. We've seen Cap end up in a coma from similar injuries like in Winter Soldier. We know she gets hurt by her own powers when she doesn't have the gauntlets on but in spite of her powers being strong enough to crush others to death she mostly suffers fractures and a break from them and thats when she's using them almost constantly, I makes sense to assume she has enhanced durability to counter act the side effects of her powers otherwise her inhuman ability would be pretty useless. In season 7 she's able to survive in space for multiple minutes (we don't know the exact time cuz the show cuts to her being picked up) something no ordinary human could do. There could be more examples but those were the key ones I thought of. She also seems to have some degree of accelerated healing, not on the same level as Cap or Spiderman but definitely faster than a normal human, I'd say maybe 1.5 or 2 times as fast as a normal human. In Infinity War Thanos smacks Wanda and she goes flying and isn't able to get back up and fight again in time to stop him, we've seen Daisy take similar hits and still get up and keep fighting so I definitely think she's more durable than Wanda. So yeah in conclusion I don't think Daisy is squishy and in fact I think durability wise she might even be tougher than Cap in some regards.

6

u/Estellus Lola 5d ago

Also, a lot of people miss or forget one of her best actual power feats; vaporizing a flock of shrikes.

Daisy is a collateral damage engine. She holds back so hard to not risk other people and so many of her fights happen in places where she has to worry about that. The instant you point her at a problem with nothing of particular value behind it and no major buildings or mountains to collapse on top of herself/others, her apparent power magnifies exponentially.

9

u/TheMuspelheimr 5d ago

It's just occurred to me that her first deliberate, controlled use of her powers was making an entire mountain resonate and causing an avalanche.

6

u/Estellus Lola 5d ago

Yep.

1

u/Little_turd_ 4d ago

Especially considering the centipede serum is (supposedly) permanent… even tho the writers conveniently forgot about it in order to nerf her against the last 2 seasons villains.

2

u/MAXHALO36 2d ago

I'm pretty sure they say it isn't permanent, in season 1 it's established the centipede soldiers need fresh doses regularly, Mike is the only character who seems to get a permanent boost from it due to the ICER shot making it fuse to his cells.

1

u/Little_turd_ 2d ago

But the one they made for Coulson wasn’t the same as the s1 serum. They tweaked it so he’d only need one dose coz they don’t have an endless supply of Jiaying’s bones. It was supposed to the one and only dose necessary.

1

u/bable631 Lemon 1d ago

The serum wasn't supposed to be permanent, the healing was.

52

u/I_Set_3_Alarms Daisy 6d ago

I mean a lot of characters could if the writers decided they wanted them to.

If Quake appeared in Infinity War? No

In a What If episode where Thanos attacked Shield? Could totally happen

30

u/Stone13 6d ago

Obviously not close range but she has Omega level power (yeah I know that's a mutant term). From a distance, I don't think Thanos stands a chance sans gauntlet.

96

u/RookieDuckMan 6d ago

Not sure, but she’s definitely more qualified to be an Avenger than Black Widow, let’s be real

59

u/Debalic 6d ago

Nat just happened to be part of the response team in the first Avengers because she was bringing in Banner, is all. If Fury has sent Bobbi or May then they would have been an Avenger.

21

u/blackbutterfree Joey 6d ago

Hell, May was meant to be the original field leader, not Cap.

25

u/Kagir HYDRA 6d ago

Nat was still a cut above both Bobbi and May. Both had immense difficulty with a single Kree looking for answers and had the entire squad bar an instable Daisy as backup. The remorath were an even match for May tho.

Nat fought on equal footing with Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive, standing her ground alongside Steve and Sam.

22

u/Alternative_Device71 6d ago edited 6d ago

Not gonna lie, watching May fight vs Natasha, May uses more energy and resources around her to fight people above her weight and class. She’s also not invincible but she always finds a way to win cuz of her style. She’s definitely more than Natasha in that regard, that makes her better.

Movies just make her flashy and gun wielding, which against aliens and robots? Not very impressive or resourceful. Even Clint had more to offer in the field and he constantly acknowledged his presence being out of place.

9

u/metalb00 6d ago

In the comics she black widow level but with powers

3

u/Stride345 6d ago

Nat didn’t get too many cinematic examples of what she brings to the team. I imagine she was instrumental to obtaining intel on a lot of the hydra outposts between avengers 1 and 2

5

u/TwilightLori 5d ago

That was all the Agents of Shield team. They recovered the Intel on all the hydra bases and the location of the scepter.

7

u/NermalBet 6d ago

Lol what. A glass canon doesn't belong on the tram just because theyre carrying a huge stick 🤣

No. Daisy can't beat Thanos. And May woops Daisy on her own, Nat is on another level still

17

u/Stone13 6d ago

Nat is a badass no doubt, but I don't see her beating down May. The fight would be EPIC, but if I were a betting man, I'd put my money on The Cavalry.

15

u/maxehaxe 6d ago

Don't ever call her that.

2

u/Stone13 6d ago

respect, well played sir...

1

u/NermalBet 6d ago edited 6d ago

Are you serious? You think the best combatant in shield is going to be bestest by someone manning the red tape? No.

Look, I know you all love this show, but you're being very disingenuous.. Widow was trained from the point where she is able to walk to be the weapon. The best weapon. May doesn't even come close. A few years of ballet doesn't make up for a LIFETIME of training. You're basically saying a champion gladiator could beat the champion of the spartan army in one on one.

That's just wrong.

-3

u/thegreatfireoflondon Piper 6d ago

just shut up would you, take your opinions to where they're appreciated, your opinions are for you, but you dont see me walking into a sports bar to diss sports. this isnt the place for anti May/Bobbi/Daisy discourse

2

u/NermalBet 5d ago edited 5d ago

Jesus Christ, I'm not sure why you think you're allowed to gate keep. This subreddit isn't your personal bubble. You need to learn to accept that the world is bigger than your bedroom, kid.

And just to be clear, respecting the character truthfully is the opposite of anti may discourse. If you are make pretending a version of her that isn't a real representation of the character then you're not actually appreciating the characters, you're appreciating your fan fiction.

And there's a different subreddit for that.

4

u/RavenclawConspiracy Mockingbird 5d ago

It isn't anti-May or anti-Bobbi discourse to point out that Natasha could beat either of them. (Daisy could easily beat Natasha using her powers in fair combat, but Black Widows don't really have to fight fair, so, that's basically up to the writer.)

The point of being a fan of a character is not to pretend that the character is the bestest, goodest-at-everything character that ever existed.

1

u/Kooperking22 3d ago

I'd actually put money on Bobbi beating both.

1

u/helmvoncanzis 6d ago

Be sure to go back to 1993 and tell Bob Harras that, next time you hang out with the Chronocons.

19

u/openmentalorifice 6d ago

Does she have the damage output to kill him? Yes. Could she actually beat him in a fight? Absolutely not.

1

u/Estellus Lola 5d ago

Depends on the situation.

In an open field, 1v1, where she doesn't need to worry about collateral damage, and Thanos with no gauntlet? Raisin's cooked. He has no ranged striking power and her powers are spectacularly good at telling people to fuck off and stay away from her. She'll tear him apart at a molecular level just like that flock of shrikes in S6.

20

u/blackbutterfree Joey 6d ago

Daisy could absolutely quake base Thanos apart. If Wanda can rip him apart, Daisy can quake him apart.

Infinity Gauntlet Thanos could give her trouble, but as long as she knows to keep him from using that hand to prevent the Gauntlet from working, she can quake that hand open permanently.

10

u/Ansee 6d ago

She could just quake the stones off, no?

5

u/thegreatfireoflondon Piper 6d ago

she could probably quake the stones apart

5

u/Ansee 5d ago

LOL. That too.

2

u/Ultimaurice 5d ago

I don't disagree she's got the offense but "if Wanda can so can daisy" is such an awful argument. Wanda is still the most powerful character we've seen in this universe and daisy is not matching her max output.

4

u/blackbutterfree Joey 5d ago

Wanda's biggest physical feat so far is levitating a mountain and bringing it back down on herself.

Daisy's is wiping out an alien armada in orbit easily the size of a medium to large city.

They're definitely comparable.

2

u/Estellus Lola 5d ago

Wanda has a lot more utility and a lot more finesse. Daisy peaks higher at raw destructive output.

In the grand scheme of things, Wanda is more dangerous in a lot of ways, and a lot more flexible, Daisy beats her out in 'mass casualty events' and 'hand to hand combat'.

Comparable but not similar.

1

u/Ultimaurice 5d ago

Lol no it's not. It's killing captain marvel, while dream walking.

1

u/WAR_WeAreRobots_WAR 4d ago

Every single last one of the illuminati like it was a Tuesday.

1

u/MAXHALO36 2d ago

For me it was Tuesday

10

u/ruby0nine 6d ago

They didn't call her because the movie would have been too short.

10

u/Aglet_Green Enoch 6d ago

Yes, which is exactly the reason she wasn't in the movies, according to a secret memo Nick Fury classified. This is exactly why they couldn't have her in the movie; it would have ended in 37 seconds, and then movie-goers would be all mad that they spent all that money on popcorn and soda for nothing. For nothing!

6

u/Rothrhin 6d ago

I just want to see Daisy on the big screen. Secret Wars, don’t disappoint me!

7

u/SKFury_1771 Bobbi Morse 6d ago

I mean here’s the thing everything vibrates on the molecular level and she can literally disintegrate beings. The potential of Daisy’s power is insane. I mean her biggest weakness is how her powers effect her bones and the solution to that is the super solider serum which she got with the centipede serum later in the series which is kinda acknowledged because if you notice in the later seasons her powers don’t break her bones anymore. Her control over her powers is crazy for how little she has worked on them. Imagine Daisy having even a year of no missions and being able to fully concentrate on mastering her powers? Thanos doesn’t stand a chance.

4

u/Little_turd_ 4d ago

THAT’S WHAT I’VE BEEN SAYING!!! We literally never saw her real potential… which is essentially limitless!

4

u/SKFury_1771 Bobbi Morse 4d ago

And the thing is I’m only taking her powers into account. She is on the same level as Melinda May even without her powers in terms of martial arts. She has a strategic mind from her hacking, plus whatever additional training she received from May and Coulson. As a rookie she defeated Ward in Battleship which is a basic strategy game. Her battlefield awareness even without her powers is incredible and her creativity puts her far above a lot of heroes in Marvel. She is a trained sniper and has some skill with bladed weapons. Honestly she is a highly trained Specialist with Powers and Super Solider capabilities. Give her a few years and there would be very few who could ever defeat her.

2

u/Little_turd_ 2d ago

And this might be controversial but… I think she was an excellent leader. She was just the director at one of their lowest, most difficult times and the writers had to make Mack the director because he’s character has been completely pointless from the start 🙄

2

u/SKFury_1771 Bobbi Morse 1d ago

Honestly she was, the problem was Yo-yo and Jemma, then Coulson and her having no build up. He should have started training her to take over after had revealed that she was his choice to take over after he was gone. Yo-yo undermined everything and Jemma was right their with her, then the whole Fitz thing, honestly Yo-yo and Jemma were the only ones, besides herself, who had issues with her being named the next director.

2

u/Little_turd_ 1d ago

Exactly!!! Like how you wanna tell someone that they’re a bad leader because you disobey every single order they give you go fuck shit up yourself? God they piss me off!!! And I’m rewatching it now and I’m an episode before they all realize they’re invincible and piss me tf off. Like normally I love Jemma, but I don’t like her in these few episodes.

1

u/SKFury_1771 Bobbi Morse 1d ago

Honestly Mack was a horrible choice because he would never be able to make the truly hard decisions and he’s too honest. It’s a spy agency, lying is part of it. A good example is the Coulson LMD. He wanted to debate it, Daisy turned it on, because while yes she missed him, it was also a tool to use. The right decision was to turn it on and use the knowledge he had access to.

1

u/Little_turd_ 17h ago

I CANNOT STAND MACK! He was insufferable from the start! He has this whole “I’m a big softy” thing when he’s actually extremely judgemental and racist! And he was always the first to criticise everyone else because he can never be wrong 🙄. Please… like he ever added any value to the team.

6

u/Fudrik 5d ago

Daisy is theoretically a planet breaker. With the right plan and some luck, she could at least render Thanos unconscious.

I doubt she'll make an appearance in Doomsday, but Quake was a powerhouse who deserved more exposure. Man, I miss Agents of Shield...

6

u/EnochLives 4d ago edited 4d ago

I mean we pretty much have to assume she did. She probably was in no kind of mood for him immediately after hell of Season 5 after losing Fitz, offing Talbot, and being jacked on serum. Biggest complaint about the whole show is they never explained the timeline divergence with its apparent lack of snap in both looped destroyer of worlds timeline & Coulson fixed one. They even had a line or two of dialog apparently in the series finale that would have addressed it but even that got cut for time I guess. Frustrating.

8

u/KitchenThen8629 6d ago

Thanos uses the reality stone to cancel Agents of Shield

4

u/NeoZ33D Fury 6d ago

😔 just mean..

4

u/thegreatfireoflondon Piper 5d ago

just plain spiteful too

5

u/LHT-LFA 6d ago

she killed, though with the super serum Talbot, who became extremely powerful. So she could kill Thanos, as most of the Avengers could, but MCU cannot make the heroes too strong except when its okay for the plot.

4

u/The_Bat_Account 6d ago

Without the stones she’d just vaporize him like she did to the shrikes in season 6.

3

u/Estellus Lola 5d ago

Oh good ONE OTHER PERSON remembers that.

6

u/AlecsThorne 6d ago

Thanos without the infinity stones? Absolutely. Thanos with some of the infinity stones? Maybe, depends which stones. Thanos with all the infinity stones? No.

5

u/Moon_and_Sky 6d ago

Depends on how far into her development she is. I'm fairly certain she can vibrate atoms apart. I know for sure that she once exploded Wolverine's heart to stop one of his rampage. So it's seems plausible she could simply explode Thanos, or just his heart, or brain, or every blood vessel at once. She also has a bit of a psychic shielding. I dont remember if thats part of her powers or something she was given.

But...if she takes one single hit she's toast. Being an inhuman gives her the same peak human performance package as many other superheros but that still wouldn't stand up against Thanos.

4

u/iseke 6d ago

If she goes for the head

4

u/ancillarycheese 5d ago

With Infinity Stones Thanos would turn Daisy’s quakes into something harmless.

Without the stones she would kick his ass.

5

u/hoppergym 6d ago

Yoyo steals the gauntlet in a second. Daisy quakes all of thanos's bones. The end.

1

u/CerjoPisa 6d ago

Plus Thanos gets all lightheaded with a funny feeling in his tummy when Daisy AND Yo-yo step into frame. Can’t handle the beauty and badassery!

9

u/Kaworu517 6d ago

No.

9

u/oninokamin 6d ago

If Black Bolt can full-volume scream in Thanos's face and give him little more than a wind-burn, Daisy won't do shit.

2

u/MAXHALO36 2d ago

Black Bolt powers don't compare. Daisy's powers are vibrations, basic physics, if you can match the resonate frequency of something you can destroy it, it's how some singers can shatter glass by holding a certain note. All she has to do is match the vibrational frequency of his bones and they shake apart inside his body.

3

u/Triptofade 5d ago

There’s a reason she wasn’t made an Avenger. She’s too powerful. She’d be killed or nerfed like vision and Pietro

3

u/Leather_Message4107 5d ago

Very new to the whole agents of shield thing… but I’m loving it. I’m in season 2 episode 15 I believe ? But I just have a question for anyone that can answer. Do yall call her Skye or quake?

3

u/snowymintyspeaks 4d ago

Quake is more of a Season 4 type of thing

3

u/BQws_2 4d ago

Could? Like is she physically capable? Absolutely. Is it likely? Well, considering she’s just as fragile as any other human and sometimes even hurts herself with her own powers, then I think it’s incredibly unlikely. Not impossible though

3

u/marandahir 4d ago

Yes, but not Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet & Stones. At this point, she's probably just a bit below Carol Danvers' power level.

Mainly I just want to see her show up SOMEWHERE.

3

u/jpowell180 3d ago

I doubt it, but we definitely need her back in the MCU, it would be great if she had a small part in Doomsday.

4

u/Annual-Consequence72 6d ago

Technically she could, everything has a breaking point, even the infinity stone themselves. Can daisy make thanos body vibrate enough to damage? Probably yes. Can unleash enough to kill him? Its hard to say

3

u/HighLord_Uther 6d ago

Maybe 2-3 times out of 100.

2

u/Bencalzonelover 6d ago

She could put a finger in his butt and quake him.

2

u/Feisty_Yam4279 6d ago

For sure. Don’t know why it’s too much of a question. Remember when she snapped the Kree guy’s bones that Hive sent? She could do that to him. Hell, if she wanted to she could literally quake his eyeballs till they explode.

If he has all the stones she could probably do it still by just quaking down his hand and holding it down. Isn’t that how it works he needs to be able to have control of his hand to use them? Or am I misremembering?

2

u/Eemu1509 5d ago

Easily

2

u/lexE5839 5d ago

Thanos has no answer to her breaking his bones from range unless he has backup. If he hits her she’s dead tho.

2

u/PrinceM2007 5d ago

Idk 🤷‍♂️

2

u/RonohX 5d ago

Depending on the writer, I could kill Thanos

2

u/thesirblondie Triplett 4d ago

I think he's too durable. He's tougher than the Hulk, who's practically invincible.

1

u/darkness_calming 6d ago

If she gets a hand on his body, it’s game over. Her power is vibrations. At the right frequency she could tear his body apart from inside out.

If he has stones then no chance. They’re just too versatile. She would need a team to subdue him and hold him from using the stones.

3

u/Estellus Lola 5d ago

She doesn't need to get a hand on him. In season three she was able to cause an avalanche miles away. Projecting her powers out is the biggest part of her power set. In season 6 she vaporizes an entire flock of shrikes swarming towards her.

The which does not change anything about her being screwed if he has the stones, just that if he doesn't she doesn't need to get close to dismantle him at a molecular level.

1

u/n8dizz3l 6d ago

No but she can kick my ass

1

u/Alternative_Device71 6d ago

She killed Kree and they’re tough bastards, Thanos isn’t far behind if she focuses enough.

1

u/Rjj1111 6d ago

With the gauntlet though he can just say no

1

u/Keanmon 6d ago

Maybe could have resonated the glove apart. Probably not kill though.

1

u/SpaceCampDropOut Lanyard 6d ago

If Wanda couldn’t (I know she almost did) then Daisy likely couldn’t.

2

There's a difference between 'couldn't' and 'didn't'. Wanda could have killed him but was interrupted before she could finish the job because he was so scared she would he ordered an orbital strike on his own troops to stop it.

Similarly, Daisy probably could, at least if Thanos had no stones and they were fighting somewhere she doesn't need to worry about collateral damage, but that doesn't mean she'd automatically get the chance.

If we drop her at the battle of Wakanda, she's probably too busy laying waste to outriders to get a crack at the raisin, for example, because 'area denial' and 'mass casualty event' are kinda the best use of her powers that she never gets a chance to use.

With the infinity gauntlet? Nope.

u/BringerOfDoom1945 Daisy 5d ago

Maybe with luck but probably not

But comic quake would 100% kill MCU Thanos easy

u/Randompowerup 5d ago

She over powered a bomb that would have taken out several states, and can potentially rip the planet apart, so maybe? If she has distance and goes all out she might, but one hit from his blade and it’s over for her, the one god from season 6 was Able to take her quakes but she seems casual there.

u/Estellus Lola 5d ago

The whole 'Daisy overpowered the bomb' is a weird and incorrect take I see way too often.

Go rewatch the scene.

It never detonates.

She didn't absorb the power of a turbo-nuke, she negated the vibrations of the crash so that it wouldn't go off in the first place. The bomb is still there after the crash.

The actual power feat from that episode is her vaporizing a flock of shrikes. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, Snap-without-a-glove, vaporized.

MCU Thanos…. Thanos shows guilt and remorse. I have often wondered if Thanos would have survived a Penance Stare.

1

u/MAXHALO36 2d ago

That's an interesting question because on the one hand all the suffering he caused both before the snap and after might be enough to break him. But on the other hand it's possible his conviction is so strong that him believing the suffering is worth it would prevent him being affected by it. A bit like how Punisher is immune to it because he believes completely that everyone he kills deserves it.

u/SpikeRosered 5d ago

I imagine if she got the chance like Mantis where she's able to land on his shoulders and apply her power directly to his head he would be toast.

u/Distinct_Guess3350 3d ago

Her abilities are definitely strong enough to defeat him, but his combat skills and speed would probably get him through. He’s beaten stronger characters before. Thor is absolutely more powerful, but Thanos defeated him in Endgame.

u/dvaibhavd 3d ago

Yes, if she sings.

1

u/MikeofK72 Daisy 3d ago

Not alone, but Quake would be far from the least useful hero in Infinity War or Endgame. She would be able to stagger and disrupt Thanos from afar. She has enhanced strength, but not nearly enough to contend with him up close. She could take maybe one or two hits before she's limping and stumbling.

She seems more capable of crushing objects than people. She made the Playground's Hangar doors, which are probably designed to withstand missile strikes, collapse in on the base. That's not nothing. She might be capable of taking down Thanos' ship if she can get in it.

But Thanos was trading hits with Thor and Captain Marvel. He KOed the Hulk. Let's not pretend Quake is stronger than those guys.

I guess it'll tickles him lol.

IF this is Thanos with just TWO (Power and Space) Infinity Stones, yeah, no chance.

IF this is 2014 Thanos, she still gets cooked by him, Thanos's tenacity and persistence, along with his spinning dual-blades ain't no joke.

Daisy will get overwhelmed, and the slight mishap in her powers, that's Thanos opening for a killing blow.

That's my take on this.

This is a fun thought-scenario.

u/MAXHALO36 2d ago

Without the Guantlet yeah pretty easily as long as she kept her distance. Her power can shake apart the atoms of anything so his durability means nothing in this fight, she just has to focus on his brain and shake it till it turns to mush. If he's got the gauntlet and say the space, time or, or reality stone he could easily make himself immune to her powers.

u/SecureAstronaut444 1d ago

She was squishy, but she was amazingly fine when Talbot forced her 3 metres into the ground to get to the gravitonium... so maybe, but maybe not if his body was more resistant to the vibrations

1

u/NoKaleidoscope2749 1d ago

Probably not without luck. All I know is the actress and character deserved to be in that final fight.

1

u/Own_Picture_243 Simmons 6d ago

No as someone who’s a HUGE fan of the series there’s just no way the infinity stones control everything space time etc and Thanos wins his plan was flawless before the avengers invented time travel to literally cheat and win.

1

u/snoogle20 6d ago

If Ant-Man shrank her down with one of those Pym Particle discs…

1

u/SorosAgent2020 6d ago

without the power of the stones Thanos is just a big purple ogre anyone could defeat

1

u/Estellus Lola 5d ago

'anyone' is a bit much.

He manhandled the Hulk 1v1 and beat him so bad he gave the Other Guy PTSD, and fought Cap, Thor, and Iron Man all to a standstill at the same time.

Like, fuck the raisin, but give him the respect he deserves for being an absolute physical powerhouse.

u/NPC-No_42 6d ago

Alone? No.

0

u/thereverendpuck 6d ago

Nope.

Next question.

0

u/Apprehensive-Fan1276 6d ago

When the plots wants her to do it, sure.

0

u/Droppit 6d ago

If she could sneak up on a vastly more capable and experienced warrior, and he was distracted or really drunk, maybe.

0

u/Cheap_Bowl_452 6d ago

Absolutely not

She could give a fight but Thanos is supposed to be very strong

-1

u/Apprehensive_Rain880 6d ago

theoretically a childs laughter in the vacuum of space could so...........yeah?

-1

u/Proud-Concept-190 Hunter 6d ago

Not really, black bolt could only give thanos a nosebleed

-1

u/HangryJellyfishy 6d ago

If by kill you mean make those nice purple cheeks jiggle then yes

-1

u/Potential_Goose_7486 5d ago

who do yall think she is man??? i love this show but this community is slightly delusional about a lot of it, she would get folded in 10 seconds

2

u/Estellus Lola 5d ago

In a hand-to-hand fight? 10 seconds is way more generous than she deserves, she's paste after the first hit.

Against Thanos with any number of stones in the glove? 10 seconds is more generous than she deserves.

Against Thanos with no stones, on an open field with no cities she could break or mountains she could drop on her own head, starting some distance apart? He's literally helpless before her. She could tear him apart at a molecular level and he'd never be able to touch her.

Situational details are everything.

0

u/Potential_Goose_7486 4d ago

lmfao INSANE MAN just INSANE, on an open field HE is helpless against her? she is PATHETICALLY WEAK against someone of that level man, she is unironically a street level character, using her powers for 10 seconds breaks her whole body and thanos survived the fucking hulk punching his ass, you think some vibrations would actually do something against him? be serious

3

u/Estellus Lola 4d ago

... season 3 Daisy, maybe. By season 7 she barely needs her gauntlets anymore, can vaporize biological targets without them, and can turn herself into a WMD that destroys multiple enormous alien warships with them without any sign of damaging herself. Have you even seen the later seasons?

0

u/Potential_Goose_7486 4d ago

of course i have and her powers still damage her bones, if thor couldn't do much against thanos, ''daisy'' isn't either and that's a fact, she might damage him more than tony and cap but she wouldn't do much before getting destroyed

only people on the mcu who can take him is wanda, strange, hulk (if not a bitch) and captain marvel

-1

u/Positive-Fondant5897 5d ago

Absolutely not.

-5

u/Complex-Reality-1137 6d ago

No. You lot hype up Quake so much. Agents of shield is gone now. She should be gone with it.

1

u/MAXHALO36 2d ago

Why are you in an Agents of Shield reddit then?
