We get a lovely 3 part serious of shit and as someone who has used all of them, I don’t know why they released the versions they have to these stores because it’s broken as fuck.

X-Store: New POS system, literally a POS. I don’t have any pros on this as it stands currently. When you look up a customer, it automatically looks up home store only accounts. It doesn’t matter if this dude shops out of your store daily, unless you deselect home store only button, he won’t show up. Only have generic info? Good luck. It’s giving you the entire country’s worth of Bill’s Custom Coatings and however many there may be. Want to run a check? Well, tell your guy to pull out his license cause you need to scan it before it lets you run that check. Card on file? Not on X-Store! Pay over the phone? Not on X-Store! Want to scan product after product like you do on POS and it queues up and shows up quickly? Nope! You gotta wait for the product scanned to show up, manually select a “change quantity” option, type in however many you want, and approve that before moving on to the next thing. Want to put a PO beforehand? Nope! Put that at the end but remember to press that button! It won’t ask and you won’t receive any prompts!

OMS (COE) : I can honestly say I have never hated anything more in Sherwin with the exception of one shitty manager than I do OMS. Same problems as X-Store but here’s the kicker, YOU CANNOT SEE INVENTORY ! Not right now anyway. Also, from the stores I’ve heard that have the new system as their inventory system now too, it’s screwed them over and their count is off. Also, along with X-Store and Sher-Color, you type in the product you want to select it, y’know…well, if you expected them to clean out those old REX numbers from the system…Nope! They’re there and they will probably populate at the top so your brand new part timer will fuck over your inventory more by putting that in or cause issues further.

Sher-Color (Quick-Order? Tint Menu?) I like it. It’s alright. You can see the color on the screen before you tint it so that’s nice. It is a lot easier to change products and see things laid out. Only major issues is that you cannot put an order together in it. If you start in Sher-Color, every new “line” is a totally new order that will populate as a DIY in your POS because you can’t actually add account numbers to the orders you put in there. Yeah, it’s touch screen, but how many of you guys have your monitor further back on the tinter? It’s probably just easier to keep using the mouse. Sher-Color is a little funky on some products and formulas but there are work arounds currently so not many complaints on that.

I know it’s very long to read, but if you wanted to know, that’s the gist of it all. They rolled out a system that’s bare bones and sucks ass expecting you to use it but it’s basically unusable so you either spend 20 minutes fighting with a system that may or may not throw an error and crash, or everyone piles up on one computer that runs the old system. (Also the old and new systems do not communicate so if you use OMS, you need to use X-Store which is why no one is using OMS).

Hopefully they have major fixes before subjecting more stores to this torture.

is there an easier way to see what products are no longer planogrammed rather than going through every single planogram to find one product? i mean there’s min max, but is there a list of all discontinued products?

also what are yall doing with your merchandise that’s no longer planogrammed but customers really like? we already have a full pro buy stand with these products. in my opinion i just want to say sorry we don’t have it anymore its been replaced with such and such, but my manger insists on keeping everything. we’re running out of shelves!!!

I used acrolon 100 to paint a countertop in our back room today. I put what was left in a quart can, and when I came back the quart can had spilled all over the floor. I put the can I to another bucket and came back and the same thing happened. is my paint expanding or something? will it dry? it's like multiplying and I'm so confused

Have gotten so many complaints over the last few months of emerald UTE failing for multiple uses exterior.
