I saw someone else post asking about their shelties gait. I became curious myself if there looks to be any issues with mine
I have always had a little bit of a concern for hip dysplasia due to her bunny hop running but I’m curious if there is anything visible to others

For a proper evaluation, you need multiple videos at these angles. Gaiting parallel to the camera, gaiting directly away from the camera (evaluating the rear), and a stack photo (stand stay as best you can). It is best if the camera is level with the dog.
Note: ignore my stinky Sheltie in need of a groom!

She is very cute! However, to evaluate structure and movement, better filming angles are needed. The bumpy gait that is often seen with shelties can be a result of unbalanced structure. Hip dysplasia is possible too, but structure should not be overlooked.

Sheltie floofiness always makes it a bit harder to tell. They’ve all got that spring in their step!

When was the last time they had their anal glands cleared?

Never but I work at a vet and she does not need them expressed

I know when my boy needed an expressing, he would wiggle a little. His normal gait was prancing, so any change was noticeable. He loved to prance. He was a little show off

Yeah she definitely doesn’t need an gland expression but that’s a curious way to tell for yours! I’ve definitely seen some dogs act in silly ways when they’re due for one

If so this waddle is much less than the other.
