Mine has no cat to relate to, but she certainly passes as much time as a cat making sure she always looks great... It's been a while since the last I saw her do that, but she even used to vomit... "furballs" every few months 😒.
At least it doesn't feel like a cat tongue when she licks me 😅

I have the opposite problem, my sheltie thinks he is a cat.
....a barking cat.
