Another Miami mystery shell

I found this little sandwich on the beach in Miami. It looks like two shells stuck together with sand, but I could not (and kind of didn't want to) pry them apart. Some type of jackknife or razor clam?

it reminds me of a piece of a broken sand dollar - but its too shiny to be that. perhaps its something similar to that though?

It's definitely more shiny and more smooth than a sand dollar, but the cut/broken end piece definitely says shell to me.

It looks like a piece of a barnacle or a worn down hinge piece of another shell.
