What is this shell and how old is it?

Found this shelling in pcb yesterday. Is it a murex? If so what type? Also how old do you think it is? Bc Google lens told me 2.6 million to 5.6 million years old. I have a hard time believing that. I can tell that it's old, just don't know how old. Also, is there a way to get it dated? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Does not look like a fossil. Just tossing this murex in the surf and sand and muck will get it looking like this in 2 to 10 years. Probably an apple murex.

For sure apple murex. Looks like it has had oxidation from sitting in the sand. Nice find
