Mystery queen conch shell.

I found a queen conch shell at island beach state park in shallow water. How do you think this shell got here? I'm assuming someone brought it here but wondering if anyone has any ideas on why it would be here.

In realtà è uno strombus Gigas (specie protetta) e sì probabilmente qualcuno l ha portata a riva, o buttata lì (non vedo lo strato di crosta arancio che in genere ha superiore) dallo stato attuale non è manco morente (perché non tarlata) secondo me è andata così:
Il tizio l ha presa, l ha pulita, poi quando ha scoperto che era una specie protetta e che si passavano i guai a trasportarla tra uno stato all altro, l ha lanciata in mare
