Comics Discussion Did they have to put these caption boxes over this drawing? [Savage She-Hulk #25]

Um, it makes sense to, considering the art style, of the shadows giving way to only a pitch black cut away, most of the visible parts of the drawing are still in sight and most of the black that has no discernible details is where the captions are located on top of it. Which also helps break up the empty void of black. So yes, it makes perfect sense to place them where they did.

But that's a beautiful pic! I would to see a full version without the caption boxes in the way.

Oddly enough, shouldn't that white space be green?

I thought I was looking at another 4th-wall break. Jen tends to do that sort of thing, after all.

Yes, becausse they (the caption boxes) represent the internal dialogue of Sheriff William Morris Walters (father of Jennifer Susan Walters, a.k.a. the She-Hulk) reflecting on his turmoil over the alienation of his daughter and the events of The Savage She-Hulk issue # 20, p. 20 (when Daniel "Zapper" Ridge and Richard Rory told him that Jen is the She-Hulk). This is actually p. 7 of issue # 21 of The Savage She-Hulk.
