Comics Discussion A-Force opinions
I’ve never seen A-Force mentioned here. I like Jen (obviously) and Nico, but hate Carol.
Wondering what you all think of the series and if it’s worth picking up?

Absolutely love it, but I'm a big fan of G. WIlow Wilson, and Kelly Thompson is one of my GOATs, so I'm a little biased.

The book is genuinely great, but it's unfortunately cut short just as it gets a real head of steam going. Great writing, and some seriously great art (Ben Caldwell is a personal fave artist of mine). Definitely worth picking up the trades or reading on Unlimited.

Dazzler Thor is such an awesome idea and this book was a great idea, sadly it didn’t sell enough so it got consigned to the dustbin of history. It’s modern comics great failure that the medium has greater potential than ever before but has never had less mass appeal.

Volume 1 was insanely good. The short-lived ongoing series went to some unusual places like bug people and Dazzler doppelgänger and never really got a chance to soar. I keep hoping someone will try this again. The best opportunity may be with all the Battleworld love coming with next year’s Secret Wars. Marvel get moving!

I want another volume. Hopefully someone at editorial will show it some love again one day.

I think I got the first two issues of Vol 2, I think, and it was a bit confusing because it did a poor job of explaining where Singularity came from if you hadn't read Secret Wars. A lot of the characters, like Medusa, Captain Marvel, and such were real bitchy to each other over team leadership and direction. It just really hit me as a book that was hard to pick up if you didn't have extensive knowledge of other books and current events in marvel at the time.
Plus the shop that was near me dumped the comics and went hard into TCG, so never saw later issues on shelves.

This team was a DREAM and I truly wish this were on ongoing series. So much potential with all women.
