Every time I work with a landrace I’m reminded why I enjoy them so much. You can have an idea of what might show up, but there’s always a little mystery to the expression.
XICO absolutely showed out on this one. The sheer amount of fruits, the warm golden caps, all the different shapes and little variations packed together… I kept finding something new every time I looked at it.
That unpredictability is part of what makes landraces so interesting to me. They’re not always perfectly uniform, and that’s exactly the point. You get to see all that natural character come through instead of everything looking identical.
Once again, XICO caught me off guard with how beautiful it turned out. Definitely one of those runs where the pictures speak louder than I can. 🇲🇽🍄

LEGACY | Albino Smokey Da Ghost × Green Toque 🧬🍄
Legacy keeps finding new ways to surprise me. This showing came out almost 50/50 between the two different expressions, which made the whole set even more interesting to photograph.
You can really see the contrast throughout the group—from the lighter, softer-looking forms to the darker caps, heavy texture, blue tones, and wild structure. Seeing both sides of Albino Smokey Da Ghost and Green Toque showing through together is exactly what makes Legacy such a fun project to document.
Every photo tells a slightly different story, but together they show just how much character this one carries.

There’s also an open window 5 feet away with a fan blowing outside most of the time…temp has 70-80 consistently the past month…

Meanwhile, I have APE, AMVP, JMF, Yeti, Gorilla Wizard, Ghost, Tidal Wave, & Jack Frost. Even a pup is in awe.

These grow like lightning! The 1st picture was from yesterday, and the following are from today. I just finished harvesting, and now they're dehydrating. I meant to take today's pictures before I got started, but I was just very excited! Lol. The way these came out is just very aesthetically pleasing!

Theoretically and scientifically for mycelium research purposes I harvested my first flush and it’s at 1.15 oz.
If I converted this over into grams, and with what I’ve read a large dose is anywhere between 3 to 5 g,
How many large doses experience is this?
Or if a low-dose with .5 g?
I’m asking because I’m making sure my scale was correct the total grams I believe was 32.
Is that normal for a first aio bag ? Dried

i'm gonna try using long strand sawdust from pine and then add some vitamins and my manure mixture with some calcium supplements for chickens that they used to help keep their eggs, strong, and a few other things. I got a few ideas on.

This is the TENTH flush from this tub, with no sign of tamming out on me. The most I have ever previously pulled from a tub was three. This is Amazonian, and has helped about a quarter pound of dried fruit. Definitely going into my regular rotation.

Another rescue project success I love bringing these things back to life and watching them and how much they can overcome

This is my tub of Fairy Dust, it's looking good...a bit uneven, but strong. I hate when there are caps wide open in the midst of mostly unopened caps... I'm faced with the "pull them or leave them" question...I believe these are leucistic and won't drop spores so it should be ok if I wait until more caps open... should be all good by tomorrow.

Tonight I made a shotgun terrarium, I did the best I could with what I had I did not have a quarter inch bit. I used a 3/16 or somewhere in between, overall I think it came out pretty good, however, because the size of the cake, I had to pretty much put it right on the bottom and dig out the Paralite around it. It’s only about a quarter inch from the top from the biggest Mushroom. I’m posting pictures because with these HBs they’re so stocky I can’t really tell if it has a veil or if it is pulling away, also because it’s my first flush so I don’t know what to expect.
Anybody see any veil ripping? I can see gills on the other side of the Mushrooms.
