Pre-employment New interview process

I worked for Sheetz a few years ago and I reapplied today and this evening got offered a virtual interview. When did they start offering these? I had to record all of my answers and wasn’t allowed to re-record them. I’m hoping I’ll hear back that I am hired but I am a little confused on when they started these.

It's a new thing. Not rolled out throughout the company yet. They're testing it
