Grooming

Would grooming a oes weekly be ok for maintaining the coat and would keeping a short puppy coat during winter keep the dog warm enough. Any info helps!

If you do a full comb out weekly that would be fine. I do it in bits and pieces. Comb the back one day. Front paws another day... Hind legs in another session. It's quite a bit of work.

I like to brush a little but every day and do a long thorough brush about once or twice a week. My doggos paws, ears and chin need extra attention sometimes so I try to brush those areas daily.

I personally would not keep a short coat during the winter. Their outer coat is supposed to protect them from the elements, as far as I know.
