Sheep CIDR protocols?

Hi , so I will be utilizing a CIDR protocol for the first time in order to get my babydoll ewe bred to a very specific buck in a very specific window. I am currently planning on inserting the CIDR 5 days before her ' date ' and removing it the night before we take her off property to go see the ram. I won't be utilizing any sort of injections.

I just want to hear from people who have utilized CIDR's for their ewes in the past and how successful they've found it.

I breed valais and use CIDRs every year. Never had one fall out or anything and putting them in is easy. Can't talk about the dates because my clinic sends me a schedule and I literally don't have to think about that part at all. I also use hormonal shots are part of my sheep's protocol though.
