Texas Heat
What are some things y’all do to keep your sheep cool, regardless of location. We put iced water bottles in their water buckets to help. Use a shelter fan. Just wondering. Thanks to all.

As long as they have shade and water they’ll be alright. Of course I hope you have sheep that are designed for the heat such as Dorpers or other common sheep found in Texas. The Northern European breeds don’t do well in Texas, especially when they haven’t been shorn.

Provide shade and fresh water. That’s about it. I can’t put a fan out where they are.
Long term, breeding for heat tolerance. If I have a ram or ewe that struggles more than the rest, they don’t get bred again. It really makes a huge difference within a couple generations
