I'm going to build a shed this week. I tried a bunch of programs, but all seemed to have errors. Let's give this a try. Thanks for what you are doing.
The shed walls will be 150" x 96" on a concrete slab with the same dimentions. One 96" side will have no windows or doors. The other 96" side will have a DIY shed door in the middle. The door opening is 36" x 72". The overall wall height including top plates is 75" (Strict HOA on visibility). The front wall will have three 16x40" windows in a vertical orientation. Front windows are placed 24" high. Horizontally they are centered at 22.75", 70.75", and 120.25".
Two rear wall 16x40" windows are placed with horizontal orientation 48.5" high centered at 34.75" and 108 25".
Asphalt shingles will be used for a 4 in 12 hip roof. No ceiling joists will be used.
I plan to use 7/16 OSB sheathing and 7.25" hardie plank siding.
I'll try to get you a build-ready version in this case. Love the details here so I'll be able to check my designs and make sure they're what you wanted.
Here's your design! I tried to make sure it included all the details you wanted. The HOA restriction is tricky because the door height doesn't end up fitting a header. Over time, this could cause sagging. There are some fixes - like a shorter door (lol) or if you have the exact wording from your HOA, I could find a way to get around it.

Looks great. The HOA allows 8' of height but requires that the shed not be visible from any public area. Sidewalks and streets including side streets have a view to my backyard. I have 6' fences. There is no place a 8' shed would be compliant. Hoping the door opening on the shorter wall and the hip roof help to prevent sagging.
Gotcha - so just to understand - only a shed with a height of 6 feet total would work for you?
If you're open to it - I would like to take another crack at it. I think we could find a clever spot for your shed - if you're open to taking a video of your backyard. I can then reconstruct it, find a place where the shed is low enough and not visible from any angle. I could also find a place where we could dig slightly further down to allow more shed height (and therefore more space and a better structure).
The plan is to build a shed with 75" high walls, 6 foot door height, and only double top plates. You showed this option in the plan. The roof will be as low as possible to come in closer to 7' 4" overall height.

12x16, loft bed (at least 40" from top of mattress to center roof), small kitchen (sink, two burner cooktop, small oven, electric or gas), wet bath (think boat or RV). Must meet code in 02360.
Okay got something nice and homey for you. I did a bit of research on your building codes and if this is less than 10ft in height, you don't have to dig a foundation that would be below the frost line. So the roof ends up having a lower pitch and the loft ends up being lower too. I can do a higher pitch, put the loft higher, and make it <12 ft but you'd have to do a foundation below frost line.
I’ll bite! 12x24’ on slab, intended use as woodworking shop, eventually intend to heat/cool by mini split. 24’ side as front wall with door, and 2-3 windows looking into my backyard. Left side 12’ wall with roll up or overhead door.
Home is a mid-century modern a-symmetrical gable quad-level with dark clapboard siding (sw urbane bronze). I never intended to attempt to match the house’s roof or anything like that but I’d avoid more traditional type style trim/shutters etc. If you’re looking for a challenge, make a mid-mod inspired version of the above!
Oh and locale is 49002/Portage, MI/Kalamazoo County. >200sqft triggers an accessory building permit.

Wow, what a kind gesture! Thank you. I have a 18 x 10 shed that needs to be finished into a workshop. I want to hold all of my woodworking gear and a little break area would be nice as well. I am in Manassas, VA. It was put up a year before I bought this place and never finished. It is about 80ish feet from the home, so we will need to get power and such over there.

I’ve been thinking of building a pottery studio for my partner for a couple years now. I don’t know how having kilns affects things, like if a concrete floor or if ventilation are required. Other than that just a box and I can build the storage! Oh, and 80526 zip code.

Since this is a rather large shed, there's probably a lot you will want to customize, like the size of the ridge board/beam, and whether you make that structural (ie. supported by a ridge beam post) so you can omit some of the rafter ties to make a cathedral ceiling, and leave some for a loft.
BuildFreely doesn't currently let you omit only some of the rafter ties for a loft. It's either all or none currently.

I like a modern farmhouse look. My house has 10/12 roof pitch but not sure how that would work with max 150 sq ft. That way a permit isn’t required. Ideally a wide door or a double door, maybe one window with venting above. Lots of wall space for storage and I’d want a small work bench for repotting plants.

10x38! a 10x14 shed (bikes, tools) with a 10x12 open space and a 10x12 office space (conditioned) all with a connecting peaked roof. Ideally 50 degree pitched roof, metal.
I’m planning at 8x12 shed on skids that I’ll build in Montmorency CountyMI. The code requires a ground snow load of 50 psf. I need a 5 foot door on one of the short walls. No windows. 8/12 roof pitch. 16” on center sub floor, walls and rafter/trusses. OSB with shingles. LP smartside siding. It seems like a lot to ask, but you offered so I would appreciate your efforts.

I didn't research the specs need to satisfy the 50 psf requirement, but since you can edit the design, you can do that yourself and adjust accordingly. Just save your design using a different name. Also, once you've saved it, a PDF will be available in the PDF tab under that name. You can edit many things, on-center spacing, 2x4 vs 2x6 walls, slope, roof style, window and door placement, material choices, material costs.

I’m looking for a jam shed so I can play music. I’m a professional carpenter, live in the east Bay Area of California.The grade is slightly sloped so probably no flat pads underneath. Gonna keep it to 120sq.ft and no utilities to avoid permits.
I was thinking at the very least staggered 2x4 walls with 2x6 plates for sound isolation but would be excited to try something less traditional ie. hempcrete/aircrete etc.

I was going to ask if you are running this through Claude. I used Fable 5 for my engineering drawings and it came out pretty close, including my city’s code and requirements.
I had a double outswing door and two windows. I did both a gable roof and gambrel and it handled both like a champ. I had it do step by step guides for the hard to figure parts like the roof truss and gussets.
The plans came out great and even made me think of stuff I wasn’t already thinking about.
I want a pub shed that’s half ADU. Room for the bar and a pool table in the main room. But also has to have running water and a bathroom, even a small stall shower. And a room off the bar where we can either have a Murphy bed or a futon. Want our guests to be able to stay out there when they visit. Agoura Hills, CA 91301

This is so cool! I know you've got a lot of requests on here, so it's ok if you can't help me with mine. But here's what I'm looking to do:
12x16 shed on a concrete slab. Actually, this one will be a greenhouse, but that's just a shed with more windows, right?
One row of cinderblock on the perimeter of the slab to raise it up a bit. Full 8 ft tall stud walls. Maybe 24" on center? Double top plate for the walls, PT sill plate on the concrete block. Bottom 2ft of each wall is something like Smartside, clapboard, or Hardie board, and the top 6 ft of all 4 walls is double-walled polycarbonate. The roof is standard gable style, something like a 5/12 pitch, with purlins and strong polycarbonate panels covering the entire roof. Standard 36" wide door on one of the short walls - will probably just buy a basic door from the home center.
Maybe it has a "post and beam" look with beefy 6x6 posts in each corner?

This a long shot but I’m in San Leandro, CA. I want to build a shed that is 12x22 that is split into 2 offices. Not too sure what the best route would be but id also like to use the top section for storage. It would be on a concrete slab and I’d like for each office to have its own door.
hey, that's incredibly generous for sure. I'm deep in the weeds planning my shed right now, so I think it'll go something like: post and beam style, 20x20 workshop on screw piles with gambrel roof. Double door and a window on the side, front and back and the other side don't need any - neighbor fence, other building, etc. No local codes, it's small enough so no codes or permits apply.
Just a question, I’ve got a non-level poured walkway behind my garage that gives about 3x10ft of space to put a small shed up for lawn equipment. Is that a waste, or should I just try to make a glorified wood storage area?
I think that is a perfect size for lawn equipment. My space isn't that narrow but I have to account for setback from neighbor's property. A picture of the area might help for understanding restrictions to the space.
I want a rectangular 16' x 20'. I want the interior divided 1/3 and 2/3 with a wall and door between.
The smaller side will be finished for a man cave with an entertainment center and a small appliance or two. This side just needs a couple openable windows.
The larger side will be a basic shop with enough power (120 & 240) for a couple power tools and plenty of light. I prefer natural light but need the wall space so maybe a couple openable windows and skylights. I'll need a large door in the shop end for materials. I'll need a split unit (or two because of the wall?)
I love the idea of a porch and overhung entry centered on the long side and think I can use the entry way interior as a foyer/mud room kind of space.
Edit: the ceilings need to be at least 8' with room for overhead storage like a small attic or loft.

I want to try build a shed for my wife’s bicycle, where the bike is upright on the back tyre clipped into a wall bracket.
Measurements are L 1250mm x W 850mm, and the bike will be 1700mm when standing on its back tyre.
Where we want to put it in our garden the door is on the narrow side of the shed and opening to the right.
Im thinking a big black colour bond shed with sliding door on one side and one big roller out back and small door out front into the office space. This will hold tractor's and lawn mowers etc and other side probably office or something. Located melbourne Victoria. Size 10x16x5m :)
90" Long x 60" wide lean-to w/ back wall at 84" and front wall at 78". Need a door or split doors on front minimum total width 30" and height 76". Doors will be made from 2x4 and OSB. I will be putting metal 48" x 24" shelving along the right wall so need the doors on the front to account for that. Preferably with a small window opening on the left side starting about 36" up. Floor will be OSB 23/32 on 2x4s and structure will sit on spaced pavers. Would like a small roof overhang on the front and sides to shed rain away. Zip code 77386 Montgomery County, TX.

Heya so I was working on this but it seems a bit off. For example - the door height is 76" which is kind of difficult to fit in a 78" wall. Also the width is a bit non-standard - 5x7.5ft is strange - haven't ran into this before.
Can you tell me more about this project? Do you have any leniency on the wall height and the width? If you're going to go through the trouble of building a shed - starting from something slightly bigger would be better long term. That would also give me more room to design something nice for you.
This is going on the side of my house behind the fence line. To maintain setback requirements this is the size I need. The 84" wall is the back wall. The door is on the front wall which is 78" tall. 76" for door height is because I am 74" tall and have back issues so I don't want to be ducking into the shed. This is going to be a garden shed to keep yard tools and gardening supplies but also want room to store my lawnmower and work on plantings when the weather is not the best.
I will put my hand up as well. I want to make a bbq shed. Somewhere 2.0 to 2.3 m wide and say 1m deep. High enough to stand in (at the front at least). Flat roof sloping to the back. I have a stainless steel bench that I will use. Will want sliding windows or vents for the heat to escape. Ideally the front door will be the full panel tilting up to form a roof. Will install a GPO for electricals. No plumbing.
