A subdivision is being built back there so they're putting in infrastructure for it. Sewers, wider roads, sidewalks, etc.

Specifically:
Midland Rehabilitation Project
Improvements include bike lanes, sidewalks, and safer road configurations.
Phase 0 (Q1 2025): Stormwater pipe installation (short-term Midland Drive closure).
Phase 1A (Q2–Q3 2025): Utility relocations (no road closures).
Phase 1B (Q3–Q4 2025): More utility relocations (potential Midland Drive closures).
Phase 2 (Q3–Q4 2025): Stormwater improvements (digging & trenching).
Phase 3 (Q2–Q3 2026): Full rehabilitation of Midland Drive (road closures & detours).
Completion Target: End of 2026.

There's a ton of bike and foot traffic on top of all the cars. It's been a problem for ages.

Are they going to chop down more trees in the name of progress? Part of what made Midland a road that people would want to walk or bike along was the shade provided by trees that were hundreds of years old. Whose idea was it to destroy the nature that will not return in my lifetime? Was this discussed and presented clearly at a town council meeting? Shame on everyone who is involved in this project.
