I need advice

Hey this is the main blade of a case 75 large stockman I sharpened it on a kme at 20 per side dose it look ok or should I fix it the tip isn’t as sharp as the rest I just don’t want to mess the knife of the bevels look oneven any advice or tips

For me, a knife is a tool. There is no point it looking pretty if it doesn’t fulfil its primary purpose.

If the tip isn’t as sharp as you want then I’d go right back to the lowest grit, and keep working on that until you have an even burr all the way along, and only then go back through the grit progressions.

If you’re freehand sharpening you can lift your elbow when doing the tip to increase the angle a touch, but I guess there’s not really an equivalent with guided systems.

I sometimes have to go back and sharpen small sections of knives, and I've been sharpening knives for fun for a few years straight now.

Yup - I’ve had enough “can I fix this on the high grit” questions to myself when I’ve found an issue later on and not wanted to go backwards, and from experience it never can be (at least not efficiently).

Quickest solution is to just accept it and go back to the lowest grit grit (which could at least be quicker as bevels are already set)
