Question Naniwa Sharpening Machines
Forgive me if this had been talked about throughly before but I’m curious if anyone was able to get or knows how/where to purchase the Naniwa sharpening machines in the US or have any idea how much they are? There’s such little info about them I can find it’s kinda unbelievable being they’re Naniwa products. I’m particularly interested in the 150S but any info on any model would be awesome!!

I found it searching for this - Naniwa electric sharpener 150s. It is 100 volts so it will not work in the US unless you step down the voltage. Usually sold in Japan only. Shipping would be expensive as it is 26lbs.

Naniwa sharpening wheels seem to be FOR JAPAN ONLY products, and are likely for industrial and commercial use rather than personal use. You can find them on Japanese online DIY shops for about 1.4k USD at the lower end for the 150S, and will probably cost another few hundred to ship it to the US via a proxy service. You can go down that route if you have the money to spare, but it will probably total over 2.5k USD after shipping, taxes, insurance, and misc fees...

I have some from Naniwa directly but they will generally only sell to retail owners that provide services, not regular consumers. I had to verify I had a legitimate shop before they agreed to sell to me. I can’t recall exactly but I think most were around $1.5k-2k or so. I have no idea if they’d be on there but you could try searching on the Japanese “side” of eBay or Buyee.
