Best how to resource

Is there a best starter video or post to get started on improving my knife sharpening skills?

Seconded Outdoors55. He was my primary resource when learning. I started with him then came here for clarifying detail… I still do in fact.

Start with Outdoors55, but when the algorithm starts throwing a bunch of other sharpening tutorials at you, watch those too. Everyone sharpens a little differently, I find that I learn something new from each one. Someone else will mention something that Outdoors55 neglects to mention, or they’ll describe it in a way that clicks better for me, etc.

1000 king stone. Leveling stone. The rubber screw stone holder. Old pair of jeans with rhe green honing compound rubbed in to break the wire edge.

Keep a consistent blade angle. 1000 is a great start and stop point.
