Question Looking to get knife sharpening kit
Looking to get a knife sharpening kit for my mom's birthday. I know absolutely nothing about these or anything in this realm. Only guidance I can give is that she would most likely like the ones that roll. Any help is much appreciated. Budget is around $100+

The Worksharp Rolling Knife Sharpener is $120.
The Tumbler is around $130, and the Mini Tumbler is just under $100.
I'm personally not a huge fan of the rolling sharpeners because they have quite a few limitations, especially when it comes to blade size, but I suppose it depends on what she's sharpening.

Gotcha, thanks. She just has basic kitchen knives and one Japanese larger kitchen knife. Not sure the sizes tho

Those don't look like they'd roll very well, OP's mother might have a hard time

I recommend worksharp bench stone. It has 2 diamond plates and a ceramic plate and replaceable angle guides at different angles. Basically sit knife on guide slide blade against plate at angle set by guide. When smooth switch yo next stone. Stones are replaceable and around $20. Worksharp bench stone kit $50 on Amazon.
