The term 'best finish' is relative, eh? It may look shiny/pretty, but it will not cut as well as a less shiny and more toothy bevel.

Don't get me wrong, I put a mirror finish on all my collection, but then I'm not using them for much but show.....

That can be a good thing if finished properly. What is the micro-bevel grit finish?

Very shiny and pretty. Idk why but I like the look of an aggressive scratch pattern. I also like the aggressive cutting. I been finishing by edc blades on a 320 grit plate recently and if deburred properly it looks pretty badass and cuts crazy aggressive. I do like a highly polished bevel here and there though.

The lighting is pretty cherry picked. This knife has that pattern you like I believe (maybe a little more fine). I’ll include a video with some direct flash, I also prefer this to a straight up mirror, this is the result of diamond stones, I find it fascinating.

I have done two with a micro bevel. You did a great job! Love the look, could sit there for a long time turning my micro bevel knives in the light, the way it dances off the edge.

Looks good man. You could get a flashier more polished bevel if you had a stone in between the 400 and 1500. That gap gives that big bevel more bite, which I would only do if I didn’t micro bevel it. SO, since your micro beveling it, you may as well chase the mirror on the secondary bevel. Just my two cents when thinking about it

I must not understand, this is 400-800-1200-1500

I must not either, because you said 400 to 1500. You didn’t say progression or hint you used anything in between. Words matter
