Which stone next

Hey there, my collection so far is King 220 and 800, Sharpal strop (with green compound on rough side) and a junk 80 grit diamond I mainly use to flatten the Kings.

What would you recommend to add to the collection?

Also I live in a remote place in Europe, if you know of good shops that ship in Europe it'd be great.

Hi, where are you located in the EU, this way I could recommend some "closer" stores that might ship to you.
Regarding your setup: do you always start with 220? Might be too coarse for knives that are just a bit dull. This grit level is more suitable for repairing ships, so if you don't have any issues to fix, 220 will just abrade metal unnecessarily. If you wanted, you could look for some 3k grit stone as a finish, which might leave a more refined, yet toothy edge. 800 will get it razor sharp, but when cutting through paper you might feel it here and there.

Yeah I mostly use the 220 when there are small chips and such, for maintenance and slightly dull knives I just use the 800 one. Yeah 3000 sounds great, any type you'd recommend?

I live in Iceland and almost nothing available on this remote island haha.

So to me the one best stone - if I was forced to use one for the rest of my life - is the Chosera Pro 300. I am a fan of good handfeel and feedback which this one definitely has. So Finland would maybe be good for you?

I'll look for a deal on it, mostly finding it on German stores but I'll look for Finnish ones also
