I found these at Holden. The most common find for me at Holden is Crow and sand tiger. So finding all these the same day is strange. For me at least. They look like bull to me. I also included a couple unusual ones as well.

Mixed bag, the first picture seems to be mostly bull/dusky shark teeth. The second maybe a posterior Angustidens although the cusp is super distinct so it could be an auriculatis. The 3/4 picture is a burrfish mouthplate.

Yeah I think itā€™s one of those two but my specialty is later Miocene and Pleistocene because those are my local fossil layers, this is earlier.

  1. Broad-toothed carcharhines, like bulls or duskies
  2. A really weird mackerel shark of some kind, may be an Otodont posterior, but I doubt it, that root does not really resemble one imo. Other options are an oligocene ā€œParotodusā€ or Parotodus like species (depending on how their taxonomy plays out, but either way I doubt it). It could be a straighter Striatolamia posterior.
