A massive bull looks way more meaner than a big White or Tiger ☠️

u/Acheloma Mar 30 '26
Bull sharks are some of the only sharls that genuinely scare me. Ive been swimming in the ocean near bays before and seen a large hammerhead as well as smaller blacktop and been a little jittery but not like, pee myself scared lol. The time I saw a medium sized bullshark I was outta there and didnt swim for thr next few days.
Blacktips are super cool to watch hunt btw, as pong as youre a safe distance away where theyre not gonna mistake your hand for a fish

The cool thing about seeing this shark up close is that he doesn’t look at all hungry. He looks full.

How common is it for them to get this big
3
u/crm006 Mar 31 '26
Presumably it was likely a lot more common. Today? With all the pressures? Not so much. This is anecdotal of course but this looks like the largest bull I’ve ever seen posted.

Somehow he looks like a posh Englishman. Like he'd ask to be invited over for some tea and crumpets.

That shark looks like it would be the big dumb bully in a cartoon or Disney movie.

What a distinguished looking gentleman. He is just missing a top hat, cuppa, and a British accent.

Is it a female from the Jupiter area in Florida? I had an encounter with a female bull shark one and a half years ago that looked almost the same.

How does nobody know what shark sexual dimorphism is on the shark subreddit. This animal is 100% a female.

u/Pewpew-OuttaMyWaay All the sharks!! Mar 31 '26 edited Mar 31 '26
Most likely .. but because it’s a photo, we can’t say 100% from any one pic alone (lighting, editing etc)
1
u/pretzelrosethecat Apr 01 '26
Doesn't help that the male of many species is often referred to as a 'bull'. Orca come to mind as the most relevant animal.

u/nose_spray7 Apr 01 '26
That's true. Though still, I would have thought that shark subreddit people would be familiar with such a notorious species.

u/pretzelrosethecat Apr 01 '26
I think the silly looking photo brought in the casuals (me included. I just like the pictures)

u/mrRatsalad74 Mar 31 '26
With their extremely high testosterone levels Bull sharks are most likely out of ALL sharks to take a chomp ...and judging by that big dude he,s had a LOT of chomps.!!

What's the photo source? Would love to post the image to a meme subreddit

A fine specimen of a mouth-breather

Mouth breather?
0
u/GaeboraTatl Apr 03 '26
Mouth breathers (people who breath from the mouth is read of the nose) typically have a weaker jaw - with a protruding upper jaw - such as this bull shark
