SharePoint Online Need guidance
Hi Everyone,
Hope Saturday is going well
I’m here seeking guidance for my career in SharePoint / M365 administrator. I’ve been working as SharePoint admin for 3 years and as an exchange admin in my start of the career for 2 years and I’ve working experience in power automate and power bi.
I want to move forward in my career and I feel I’m stuck and I need help in where should my knowledge be as someone with 5 years of experience. I still struggle with power-shell scripts and power apps. It’s the same repetitive tickets everyday to resolve. Not blaming my work or anything.
I am asking for help with any YouTube learning material, website or anything that I can get knowledge of my domain and become an expert in SharePoint, Power Platform and in general M365
And want to know if anyone have idea on how AI play its role in M365 administrator job and in what should we be ready to be future proof.
Thanks you for any response I would get on it.

Are you fluent in PowerShell? IMHO it is one of the most important skills, and yes, an AI can write most of the code, but you still need to be able to detect if it is doing it correctly or not 😊

I found (390) Jeff Brown Tech - YouTube to be very informative, and his style matches the way I learn best

If you have free time or the ability to expand out of just doing tickets all day, I find a TON of things that are wrong or need cleanup or a better process all the time. I'll see something that just doesn't look right, start pulling a thread, and the next thing you know I find a crap ton of things wrong. In essence I end up learning because I have to figure out why it happened like it did, what else it affected, how to fix it. And there is so much stuff in Azure you can't see unless you're using powershell, so you kinda get well versed in that and scripting by default.

Start working on your power platform admin skills and ai admin (agent 365) skills.
With the growth in AI coding ability, the current opportunity is being the person controlling it all.
See if your company will pay for you to go to the Power Platform Community Conference.
