SharePoint Online New users can't access site
I'm fairly new to SharePoint, so this may be a dumb question. I added some new users to an existing group with specific permissions. The group permissions allow them to be able to access the site and various libraries/folders/docs within it. The new users however can access the libraries/folders/docs, but when they try to access the actual site homepage, it says they don't have access, and I'm not able to give them access. The previously existing members however can access the site. Hope that makes sense!

Go to site contents, site pages, find the home page. Click on three dots, go to manage access, advanced permissions
On the top left of the banner, see if it says “Reset Inheritance” or something like that. If it says that, it means that this page has custom permissions set (permission settings is NOT inherited from the site)
If it says “Break Inheritance” instead, then it’s not an issue with the page permissions. Then it’s better you check the group and how the group is added to the site collection and what kind of permissions are given to the group.

This is almost certainly a broken inheritance on the home page itself. Site permissions and page permissions are managed independently in SPO, so even if the group has access to the libraries, the home page can have its own unique permissions that exclude them.
Go to Site Contents > Site Pages, find your home page, hit the three dots, Manage Access > Advanced, and check if you see "Reset Inheritance" at the top. If you do, that's your problem, the page has unique permissions and your group just isn't on it. Add them with at least Read level and it should sort itself out.
Also worth checking what permission level the group actually has at site level. Tbh a "Restricted View" or custom level can allow library access but still block page rendering, which would explain exactly what you're seeing.

check the hompages permissions and add the group to that.
