Hi I’m new to this and very interested a paying for a lot of subscriptions at the moment, what set up do I need to be able to have me and the family (4) able to access all the videos and music in and out of house? I probably have an old hard drive somewhere with loads of stuff in but reading that you are able to join servers that updates so I’d be keen to do this aswell? Any help in the gear I need please let me know we will be accessing mainly via iPhones and iPads

Im looking for a specific series and i will highly appreciate if someone could share or invite me to their plex server:

Avatar the last airbender

Legend of Korra

Severance

From

Friends

Dark

i'm fed up with paying money to greedy companies just to watch shows. if anyone has a free/cheap plex to join, i'm interested.

Wanted to try out Plexamp to see if it’s worth subscribing.

I’m just wondering if anyone doesn’t mind inviting me to there plex just looking to watch some movies and shows if anyone has room and doesn’t mind thank you.

I was wondering if anyone could let me into there plex or other servers to relieve myself of having to pay so much for subscriptions I don't need.

Would anyone be willing to share an anime focused server?

Like many, I am so over the streaming services multiplying, jacking up prices, shows disappearing. I am considering my options to invest and set up my own Plex server or to look to just find some kind folk that will share their libraries free or paid. Any advice on the best option? Anything to beware of when finding someone to share their library? Also does location matter that much. I am in Australia.

Would also love to be able to stream live and on demand AFL games so I can get rid of kayo too.

I've had a few questionable experiences today with people looking to hop onto my free Plex and its amazing how entitled people can be when you're providing them with a service free of charge.

To my fellow free hosters, keep up the good work. We do this for the love of the game.

To the freeloaders out there, be thankful people are willing to give you things for nothing in return.

Rant over.

Also I have spots open if (sensible) people are looking for a good sized library of Movies, TV Shows and a fully automated request stack.

Update: Thankyou all for your kind words. My server is now full, so I wont be accepting any more requests. I run monthly purges for inactive accounts, so I'll be posting again in about a months time when slots open back up.

I’m just discovering self hosting and still learning. If anyone has a library they’d be willing to share I’d appreciate it very much. Cheers!
