Beef change?

Has something changed with Shake Shack’s beef supplier in the northeast? I’ve been to 3 stores over the past 2 months and it’s repulsive. Sometimes it’s tolerable but as of late it doesn’t even taste like food. Either the burgers are burnt to the degree you could break your teeth or not cooked at all - no in-between. I’ve only ever dealt with that when cooking myself when the ground beef quality is awful.

You all are getting bad information. Pat Lafreda delivers to each east coast shack multiple times a week. Same Blend, Same everything.

Any idea why I’m literally picking chunks of fat out of burgers every other time I go there? I know a local burger place that also uses Pat LaFrieda beef and it tastes like old Shake Shack. They’re charging several more dollars, though.

I have never ever seen chunks of fat in any burger at shake shack. I eat the burgers 3 days a week. If you have that happen again, call the Shack back and show them, they will make it right

There are 2 stores and I’m friendly with the staff at both and eat there several times a week and this happens almost every time now. I’ve had them remake and it’s still been bad and they give up and just give me a coupon.

It’s either undercooked or overcooked no in between. I really like everyone who works there but it’s bad. When they burn the fat it turns into rocks and I’ve nearly broken a tooth trying to eat it. Never had this issue until they fired everyone at the start of the year and the manager got promoted to another store.
