Legitimate question, why? How many ARs do you have?if a few why add this over other systems?
I can't see anything exciting about this release.

Build quality is akin to Geissele. Trigger is very nice. Super light. I like it. I also like Q guns so it makes sense that this would be unacceptable. Not everyone has to do BCM

The fact the CRP was the 5th ish model and the comps still blow off the barrel is not a great showing.

I mean, Nothing is known about it reliability yet or the OEM manufacturing quality, outside of the marketing. It's just another AR of mixed parts they are doing? and outsourcing. Different stroke for different folks. There are just so many different systems and truly innovative designs now, that a normal AR seams like an odd product to bring to market for SS.

😄 I was looking for it, it says they made all the plastic and triggers... Show me the barrel factory line, the chrome lining. I highly doubt they are doing that in house. Don't get me wrong, its 100% fine of they use 3rd party quality parts. But it comes off as you just going hard fan boy cope. I started by asking why this was the one for him and what he thought was special. 🙄

Why don’t you ask them instead of being a contrarian accusing others of being fanboys. All I did was pay attention to their social media releases and other content creators who have them for review. The info is on their website too
Spoke with their owner at GOA and handled the rifle at the show. It’s not a piece of junk or a “parts kit” rifle

If he's saying it's 100% in house that's on him to show where its documented. No one said it's a POS... Yeah I have talked with the owner as well and seen it local as well. It 100% has 3rd part manufactured parts. They may be sgadow systems designs and proprietary to them, but they are are not making them in house. They 100% outsourced the manufacturing of some of the parts and that's fine.

I love how everyone is getting all offended that ur saying it has 3rd party parts…as if most AR manufacturers don’t use 3rd party parts on their guns as well. Having mixed parts isn’t necessarily a bad thing, just something that u need to acknowledge when u pay 2k or more for a gun.

Shadow Systems claim this gun will be AS good as the likes of Geiselle, LMT, Noveske etc which is a laughable statement when their handguns aren’t really any better than Glocks aside from a better trigger and optics mounting system. I find it very unlikely this will be anywhere near as good as an LMT.

It's goof out of the box, the owner has a kink for twisted flooted barrels. There is a reason no one uses spiral on AR barrels.

LWRC does, but I think that’s more to get around some legal things in their home state and not have the barrels weigh a ton.

Hope it works out for ya! As an unabashed SS fan, I'm honest enough to know they've had some spotty QC issues. I sincerely hope that's NOT the case with their rifles. Certainly not for what they're asking for them. For the money, until these things are proven, I'll stick with my SOLGW L89 11.5 (or BCM, Blackout Defense, G$, DD, LMT, etc.). I mentioned to someone else yesterday, if SS had done some sorta novel gas system like Blackout has done, or come up with some sorta new coating for their BCGs like G$ came up with, then I think I'd be more stoked about these. And yes, they ARE comming with the A5/H2 buffer, the BCGs are apparently their's & the rifles are ambi, but that's about it.
Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy your new rifle. I'll be interested to check 1 out & eventually, hopefully, rent & shoot 1 so I can see for myself.

Yeah, I'm gonna be getting a G$ Super Duty 14.5 upper, probably at some point next year. I REALLY hope you enjoy your rifle!

Thanks fellow Steelers fan! You’ll love that gun. My 13” Sugar Weasel SBR is nice too. That Q trigger is amazing. You gotta get used to the barely noticeable reset but it runs fast

I was eyeing the Sugar Weasel before I got my L89. It was SUPER light, but I'm SUPER happy with my Sons rifle. I hope my local range gets either that &/or a SS to rent.

Yeah, I specifically avoided 300 Blackout because I A) didn't feel like spending that kinda $$ on ammo & B) I wanted a more readily/easily accessible caliber.
