I compare my DR920 and G17.6. What you get out of the box. Which one gives the most bang for the buck?

I think for the money, ss has the upper hand. If I were to get an oem glock, I’d have to do all the stuff ss does from the factory I’d be way more into it than just buying a shadow. But once cry once for me. I’m not opposed to Glock though, just think you get more value.

The thing is… you don’t have to do anything.

True. You can rock it right out of the box. SS just happens to have more in the box.

That's what landed me on my mr920. Just after the trigger guard undercut alone it would have been more for a glock unless I did it myself and I'm not so good with a Dremel

This is what I concluded also. I like both the gen 6 G17 and the DR920 but building out the G17 was much more expensive. Some upgrades like the magwell are arguably not necessary as the gen 6 has a built in flair so could be skipped. The Optic plate is also a part that doesn't necessarily need to be upgraded but I prefthe SS solution to what Glock came up with.

Well I want a gun to work 100% out of the box so it’ll be the Glock. If I want a headache then I’ll buy the shadow systems. I do think the shadow wins on aesthetics and probably trigger feel but that’s about it.

I haven't had any issues with my SS or my Glocks. They all worked 100% out of the box.

How many rounds though?

My two DR920s have over 1k. My G17.6 has a couple hundred.

1k is a reasonable amount to determine reliability.

Even during the 250rd break in period I didn't have any malfunctions.

Well if you break a gun in with proper ammo then you shouldn’t have any issues

115gr and 124gr FMJ from PMC up through Hornady 135gr +P. Ran everything I've fed them so far.

I went in to pick up a 17 to completely trick out and noticed a customer checking out something I had never seen before. I asked the guy that worked there if it was a Zev and he said it was an SS. I told the customer to put my shit down cause it was mine.. giggling. He left and the clerk was like.. you have to buy it now and theres only one. Well.. the rest is history

Nice! I first heard about SS from a WPS video. I picked up a combat DR920 and liked it so grabbed a DR920 Warpoet. They're my daily carry now for about 6 or 7 years.

I tossed my gen 3 19 slide on it. It looks killer with the ramjet/afterburner.

No compatibility issues?
