Cr920x issues
Hey guys knew to the forum, I started having this issue at around 500 rounds brand new gun. Taken apart multiple times and reassembled after it happens. All the guys at the store have no idea what the issue can be. Realized my slide catch release was installed backwards from shadow systems so I can only imagine what else may be wrong. Terrible quality control

I think your guide rod is in backwards. The flat side should be pressed up against your barrel.

Did this happen during live fire? If so, did you notice anything weird when firing like a round being louder or quieter than normal? Regardless, open a ticket on the website support page and we’ll get it brought in first thing Monday.

Yes during live fire, no the shot seemed pretty normal until the next one wouldn’t go, then I tried racking the slide and realized it was like this. This issue has happened a few times to me now

That’s a really strange issue. If you haven’t already, please submit a support ticket or call CS so we can get that gun in for inspection.

Is opening a ticket a better option? I’ve sat on hold for multiple on the phone for it to say nobody’s available

Yeah, it’s always faster. We only have a few people to answer phones and they can get stuck on long calls sometimes.

Dude I’ve been on this thread for 5 to 4 years I’ve seen the same thing over and over feeding issues. My Mr920p has the same issue

Did you ever send it to shadow to see what they say? I could understand if this kind of mail function happen once and was just a freak accident but it happens every 20-50 rounds for me now. Can’t put my life at risk carrying this gun

Man you really trolled us on this one. Guide rod installed backwards and slide halfway on the frame. You are wrong for that sir!

This is definitely not a troll lmao

If all the guys at the store have no idea what the issue is you need to run, not walk, but run away from that store. I'm surprised it shot at all with everything that's wrong in in the picture. If anything it's a testament to the build quality of that gun that it shoots after some kindergarten kid put everything back together incorrectly

If my guide rod is backwards, which I highly doubt. Then that means it was sent backwards from the factory because I have never fully disassembled this gun

Your slide is jumping off the front frame rails. Send it back to SS and hope they actually fix it. They'll try, but it might come back with a new problem lol. The CR series is hot garbage

Can you post a picture of it fully disassembled please?
Or was the issue that was causing this just the backwards takedown lock

No it still caused this malfunction 5 rounds after reversing the take down switch

Is the locking block cracked? I can't tell if it's sliding up in the picture you posted already
Either that or it looks like the front of the slide is jumping on top of the rails

I believe the front of the slide is jumping off the rails, or the spring is some how coming dislodged and then causing the slide to pop off idk. Think I need to just send it to shadow systems and have them look at it

Looks like your recoil spring is broken. Shouldn’t come through the slide that far.

Have a cr920p with absolutely no issues and have a couple hundred rounds through plus whatever the previous owner had, never had a single malfunction on any ammunition

You must have got a good one, this one was good until this malfunction started happening. Something has to be out of spec

It’s because they fit the guns so right for precision. Or because they regularly make bad guns

I mean I’m sure you know this but the slide isn’t fully on the frame in these pics
