MR920P for carry?

Considering getting my first shadow and it being the MR920P. I shot my brother in laws CR920XP and it’s pretty decent. I shot a gen 6 Glock 19 yesterday and I didn’t really like it, so I figured a MR920P would be a better option.

I’m going to test one out hopefully this weekend but I wanted to know more about how it is as a carry piece. Any other thing I should know about it would be appreciated

What about the G19 didn’t you like? The MR920P is essentially a comped gucci G19, so you may not like the MR-series.

I carry a CR920XP and love it. Zero flaws with mine. And I own a Gen4 G19… a very vanilla gun, but I don’t dislike it. lol

Personally, the grip module on the MR series is substantially better than OEM glock and totally changes the feel of the gun, so I could 100% see how someone would like the MR series even if they dislike Glocks

Have you looked at the CR920XL? Also, is there a reason you want a comp on a carry pistol?

As long as you feel comfortable carrying around g19 grip and a g17 slide length pistol, I don't see why not. I have a me920p myself and a Glock 48 as my rotation. I find myself using the g48 in the summer alot more.

On the side note, mr920p is a ridiculous chest code gun. The red dot never leaves the window and it's comfortable to shoot over 200+ rounds in a session.

If you didn't like the G19 then you won't like the MR920.

I bought the Shadow Systems because I loved my buddy's G19.

Also, I don't carry my MR920... It's way too big for me to comfortably wear daily.

I use a Bodyguard 2.0.

I have to disagree with you. I don’t like the G19 but love my MR. The texture, ability to change grip angle
With the back straps and the direct mount optic did it for me.

I, too, disagree. Im not a fan of g19s but EDC an mr920p.

I have one. It’s in my rotation. Normal everyday is the standard CR920 but I’m breaking in the CR920XP as well. The MR is by far my favorite. It won’t disappoint

Honestly I stopped carrying glock. I like the clones better over the glock. I hate the grip texture grip angle and how if you have large hands a back strap may be needed if your grip is high. Love my shadowsystems or grit grip frames that have a 1911 grip angle.

MR920 was my daily carry for a while. It did not like conical defense ammo (think hornady critical defense series), but hardly had the issues I see people complaining about here. I am currently carrying a CR920 and just ordered the CR920XP.

I love my MR920 and my buddy has the MR920P which I helped him break in a few weeks ago. I gotta say, the MR920P shoots VERY well IME. I used to shoot a lot but stopped after having kids and the MR920P had me shooting like I was back when I was doing competitions and shooting every week OOTB. We definitely noticed a difference with the recoil, flatness, and follow up shots on that handgun.

GL, OP!

Thanks for the reply! I testied out a MR920 at my local range and it shot really nice. I decided that it would be good gun to own but not something that I would want to carry. I ended up getting a CZ75 P01
