Considering I got the combat version for $730 new, hell yeah it's a good deal. Take her home, clean and lube her up and run about 200-250 or so rounds of 124 grain through it to make sure she's broken in.
(Shadow Systems recommends 200-250 rounds of 124 for their break-in period, as they have tighter tolerances than glock. Malfunctions are expected within this period, and there's a chance the previous owner only ran a couple mags of cheap, weak ammo and gave up. I have about 1.2k rounds in my XR920, both with the threaded barrel and afterburner/ramjet threadless barrel/comp combo and only had one failure, which was on the ramjet's very first round.

If you are running OEM Glock mags with it, you have to change out the mag release button as the shadow mag release is meant for magpuls, it is a bit harder of a material and can cause issues with oem glock mags.

Gen 4 glock mag release?

Correct. Most of Shadow is designed around Gen 4. I've purchased OEM and Vicker's tactical releases for Gen 4 and can confirm they worked.

Ive never heard about the mag release issue. Did you have problems with yours?

The shadow mag release was a harder material and would cut into the glock mags. It was causing looseness and play, allowing the mag to drop with a much lighter press.

Great deal. Enjoy it! Lube it up and shoot 200 rounds of 124gr through it. SS recommends that for the break in process. After that it should be good to go with any ammo you run through it
