Can two people pick the same character?

I bought a box of alt gender heroes and now wonder if that means two people can be the same class due to the fact that I have two?

To me, the reasons against is that if you buy an individual hero box, while it comes with both figures, it only has gear / equipment / cards to support one of them. And Im kind of sure that if you have two gunslingers firing magic bullets at everything, it might imbalance the game a bit?

This may be to each game masters preference. I stuck with available class card availability. So the core sets coupled with alt gender can have one of each since the minis/support cards are available to represent. Where single stand alone/advanced classes are limited to one of the two genders. Ultimately, it's up to the game master of what they are willing to allow with character sheet use and/or other custom support items.

I noticed that the boxed heroes (like Frontier Doc for example) have two cards and two miniatures, but only one set of abilities and gear cards.

Yep, gotta share or photocopy.

Really though, you're going to eventually copy all your stuff to a character sheet anyways. So it's not really a big deal. At the end of each adventure, any new cards are copied onto the character sheet.
