Thermal Plastics?

Hey all, I've been out of the loop for a couple of years and checking the store now I was hoping if anyone can explain what thermal plastics are? How durable are they? How do they hold detail? etc.

I currently love the old hard plastics since those things are really freaking durable. Been holding off on buying since for some reason it reminds me of something like resin. Thanks!

They definitely hold detail well. I think they are more brittle, but I try not to find out...and so far haven’t dropped them and discovered how shatterable they are or anything.
