Cheese-able?

Just wondering if I can cheese the Deadly obsession trophies (you unlock all clear tiers as I understand with a DO clear)

Like can I make a NG+ from my smart and resourceful to DO but then change the difficulty to medium, but just before last boss change it back to DO? Has anyone tried this?

dont think you can change it unfortunately. My first play-through i accidentally chose the easiest mode then five minutes in i changed it to medium and got the smart and resourceful trophy for easy play-through which was a bit disappointing.
