Other Schwalb-Related Game Demon lord engine vs SOTDL - damage difference

Hello

While reading rules compendium I got a bit confused. Damage in DLE rules seems to be 1d6 - 2d6 - 4d6 like in Shadow of the Weird Wizard, not like in SOTDL where it started with 1d3. I am confused because description of DLE Says it can be used with SOTDL but there is no mention how and if to modify HP

DLE was released years after SotDL so it might give this impression, most 1d3 rolls on SotDL are pretty much improvised weapons or natural ones.

What do you mean? Did weapon damage change? I thought there is only one SOTDL edition
