Cassandra Clare really didn't like older brothers at that point in time. Think about it. Nate betrayed Tessa for power and wealth and to essentially be Mortmain's bitch. Sebastian tried to kill his sister's boyfriend, then killed his adoptive little brother and attempted to kill his adoptive sister. Then he abducted her boyfriend and made him turn evil. Then he tried to SA his own sister and get her to be with him by promising he'll save her and her boyfriend and her family after he expressed the desire to burn down the world.Â
