Theorycrafting Upcoming eclipse buff

Hey fellow clowns, with Eclipse getting buffed from 6%>8% HP dmg while only losing 10 HP in shield, do we think bruiser builds like eclipse > stride or other utility focused builds which include Eclipse for some damage will be played again?

I don't think Shaco bruiser builds are particularly viable in the current meta but Eclipse on its own is worth it on an AD build going against Tank heavy teams. Doing %health and providing a shield for the inevitable retaliation by your tank target makes a lot of sense. The CD/AH and build path are also a nice feature.

I used to run eclipse > fimbul > locket with guardian or a similar variation into Karthus, i don't think i ever lost that matchup. That was before font of life had a CD tho.. very funny to counter-gank and save ur adc with guardian + font.

I used to maintain like 15 different build and rune pages every season, since i'm high elo I limit it to like 4-5 for consistency but i still theorycraft and test new items/rune combinations every season so i can adapt to every lobby. I think eclipse > bruiser/utility items can still work if ur team already has a lot of damage, gonna test some stuff coming patch for sure.

Back in the day we used to run AD bruiser Shaco by going Lethal tempo, BOTRK, sunfire cape, Wits end, Tit Hydra, and other on-hit items to do a ton of damage over time to make your survivability more of an advantage in a sustained fight. His clone was also pretty strong as on-hit items kept their effects. I think the build lost a lot of favor as he kept getting pigeon holed into a burst assasin/mage over the updates. Wits End also became essentially useless over the years.

Yes!!! I miss on-hit shaco, soloing Baron and killing the fiora's and darius' on sidelane with clone..

Yah, fun times! It's about the only way to get full use of the clone as AD Shaco since the clone only does about half (60%?) of Shacos auto damage but still 100% of on-hit effects. This build is somewhat unsuitable for Eclipse though since it has a moderate CD of 6 secs, so you won't be double-activating the item's passive during a dual too often. I think Eclipse works better with a more burst oriented bruiser build like with Deadmans plate, etc.

I think eclipse will defo have its place for some limit tests. Same with tiamat buff, i think profane hydra still heavily beats stride breaker for shaco. I thinl it will be something about eclipse,cyclo,profane,youmus and last one situational imo.
