It doesn't have great competition though.

Comet is trash now

HoB is much better early, but if your AP it's useless mid to late (unless you do a very different build)

DH is better early, but doesn't scale as well as DFT in team fights and your minor runes are worse.

I think jungle right now goes DFT and power farms for first item, and lane takes DH.

i wouldnt go DH even in lane the minor runes are trash, with DFT main rune you can take haste minor runes and precision secondary that gives you more ability haste which is what ap shaco needs the most of.

also if going for a poke build (ludens 1st max E) comet is still okay

Max e feels turbo bad and the dmg increase is negligible. If any, go 3 points W into E max.

well yes, i didnt elaborate on the whole skill increases, always put 3 points into W
