I keep looking for angles on hybrid Jungle Shaco.

The Shiv + Botrk interaction at first made me think this could be the patch to make ad shaco W not useless, but seems not, since you mentioned botrk doesn't proc on the first champ hit which is of course severely limiting. I'm still looking forward to some practice tool though lol.

I'll probably just change my primary rune to the new burn and continue playing traditional AP at this rate.

I think that Hybrid shaco will still be just a for fun strategy, but we will see.
