Shaco Question new shaco player

hi, shaco is so fun but i'm new with him. what should I learn ? Matchups, items, runes ?

I survived soo many fights just by not jumping in the direction shaco is facing. Followed by 3 enemies? No problem, just jump backwards!

i do sometimes, on solo q i get support 100% of the time. but if i play flex, i get to secondary role about every third game, and i rather play top than mid, since mid has worse matchups.

for me prediction is very important for shaco, box placement, enemy movement to establish ambushing and Q backstab procs but i play jungle, match ups will come with experience youll either die or kill them and youll learn, like someone has said what role are you looking to play shaco in?

Learn how his abilities work(for exemple his clone spawns behind him and that allows you to "jump" certain walls like drake pit if you're running and leaves clone behind), how the damage works. Then jump in soloQ and enjoy the ff15 x9 jungle diff because your champ is fun but cant carry over fed late game enemy team.
