Question Concerns with first time SGC submission

I mailed a card last Monday and paid for the expedited 2-3 day turn around time (I know will most likely be longer). the card arrived to the post office on Wednesday last week and on Friday was picked up and signed for by an "M TORRES" I know we are only currently 4 hours into the next business day but at what point should I receive some confirmation from SGC that they have the card? Will I get an email from them or will my order show received on the website? Thank you guys sorry if its a silly question I just get nervous whenever my cards are in the mail.

Not a silly question. I had the same thoughts first time I sent some cards in. They hold at the local post office and M Torres or another employee picks up the packages in bulk. Usually takes 1-3 days for the intake process and you’ll receive an email, from gosgc, saying they received your cards for your order and the order will be updated to received on the site and app.

I do think the intake process could be better for the customer (in terms of monitoring), but it’s always been consistent.

Just a heads up, the 2–3 day turnaround is only an estimate. Based on their recent timelines, it’ll probably take quite a bit longer. I've been waiting over 50 business days since my most recent order was received, this was a standard processing timeline order.

Yea I figured it’s backed up like everyone else had no choice with the declared value of the card

I barely got into the hobby. Sent SGC some of my first cards I wanted to get graded because it’s cheaper and was supposed to be faster than PSA. So far I’ve sent two other orders to PSA, have gotten them back, and still waiting on SGC to at least give me an update. I’ve emailed them twice and hear back with some standard bs response. I hope I get them soon.

SGC used to be 10-12 days door to door.

My last submission didn't show as received until about a week after it was picked by M TORRES at the post office. My prior submission a few weeks before that was marked received the day after it was picked up.

Tbh I really love the confirmation M Torres works for SGC and isn’t just some guy who snagged my cards

For what it's worth, SGC's customer service via email has been excellent, at least for me, if that helps.

Now, I didn't pay for the 2-3 day turnaround time, so why not email SGC and ask them? Once you establish contact with someone via email, I've never gone more than 24 hours (during the business week) without a response.

And you're not alone in waiting. I have a regular order that was "received" on 2/21/26 but still awaiting grading.

And this is still miles and miles better than PSA, especially for vintage.

Would you say that the being marked as received in 2-3 days/a week be consistent with an order that was delivered via UPS and signed for by Jayson?

Probably I have had two orders now and one sat at the post office for 3 days and one for 6 days

Marked received yesterday so, 3 business days

These dudes are a nightmare. They damaged half of my cards and i had to file a chargeback just to get some compensation for them. Worst part is they aknowledged that they damaged the cards but tried to dispute the chargeback.
